MINISTER OF DEFENCE II RECEIVES CALLS FROM OUTGOING AND INCOMING DEFENCE ATTACHÉS OF THE SOCIALIST REPUBLIC OF VIET NAM TO BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 7 October 2021 – Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Minister of Defence II, received farewell and introductory calls from Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Son, the outgoing Defence Attachè of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Brunei Darussalam and Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, the new Defence Attachè of the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam to Brunei Darussalam respectively today.
 
During the call, Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Son expressed his gratitude for the friendly and good bilateral defence relations between the two countries during his tenure. In addition, Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan expressed his hopes of further strengthening the bilateral defence cooperation between both countries.

Yang Berhormat Minister of Defence II expressed his confidence that the long-standing friendly relations and multi-faceted cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam, notably in the field of defence, will be strengthened in the coming years. He then conveyed his warmest appreciation to Senior Colonel Nguyen Tien Son for his contribution and cooperation during his tenure as the Defence Attachè of Socialist Republic of Vietnam since June 2017. He also congratulated Lieutenant Colonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan for his new appointment as Defence Attachè of Socialist Republic of Vietnam. 

Since establishing diplomatic relations in 1992, defence cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and the Socialist Republic of Viet Nam has been growing steadily, through interactions and activities such as exchange of visits, military exercises, meetings, and trainings at the bilateral and regional levels.   






MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA MENERIMA KUNJUNGAN PERPISAHAN DAN PENGENALAN BERSAMA ATASE-ATASE PERTAHANAN SOSIALIS REPUBLIK VIETNAM KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM 

BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis, 7 Oktober 2021 - Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua, telah menerima kunjungan perpisahan daripada mantan Atase Pertahanan Republik Sosialis Viet Nam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam, Senior Kolonel Nguyen Thien Son serta kunjungan pengenalan daripada Leftenan Kolonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan, Atase Pertahanan Republik Sosialis Viet Nam ke Negara Brunei Darussalam yang baharu hari ini.

Semasa kunjungan perpisahan tersebut, Senior Kolonel Nguyen Thien Son mengucapkan penghargaan atas hubungan pertahanan dua hala yang baik dan mesra di antara kedua-dua buah negara sepanjang perkhidmatan beliau.  Sementara itu, Leftenan Kolonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan dalam ucapannya berharap untuk meneruskan kerjasama pertahanan yang semakin meningkat di antara kedua-dua buah negara.

Yang Berhormat Menteri Pertahanan Kedua yakin bahawa hubungan persahabatan dan kerjasama yang telah lama wujud di pelbagai peringkat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Sosialis Viet Nam, terutama dalam bidang pertahanan, akan terus diperkukuhkan pada masa yang akan datang.  Beliau turut menyampaikan ucapan penghargaan kepada Senior Kolonel Nguyen Tien Son atas sumbangan dan kerjasama beliau dalam mengeratkan dan memperkukuhkan hubungan dua hala sejak memegang jawatan pada bulan Jun 2017. Pada masa yang sama, Yang Berhormat Menteri Pertahanan Kedua juga mengucapkan tahniah kepada Leftenan Kolonel Nguyen Ngoc Huan atas lantikan beliau sebagai Atase Pertahanan Republik Sosialis Vietnam yang baharu. 

Sejak menjalinkan hubungan diplomasi pada tahun 1992, kerjasama pertahanan di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Sosialis Viet Nam semakin berkembang melalui interaksi-interaksi dan aktiviti-aktiviti termasuk pertukaran lawatan, eksesais ketenteraan, mesyuarat-mesyuarat, dan latihan-latihan di peringkat dua hala dan serantau.
