RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Tuesday, 06 December 2022 – Colonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, the Acting Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), receives a Courtesy Call from Colonel Eric Schmidt, the Deputy Director of Strategy, Plans and, Programs, Headquarters Pacific Air Forces (PACAF). Colonel Eric was accompanied by Lieutenant Commander Samuel S. Kim, the Chief of Defence Operation Cooperation Embassy of The United States of America in Brunei Darussalam, Lieutenant Colonel Nicholas Gardner, the Deputy Chief of International Affairs-Southeast Asia Branch, PACAF, and Mr. Alex Zhang, the Country Director-Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, International Affairs Division.
During the call, both sides looked forward to a fruitful outcome from the 2nd Airman to Airman Talks between RBAirF and PACAF. Both agreed that engagement is a good platform for enhancing the long-standing relationship between the two forces. Both also discussed capability development and information sharing, which allows the RBAirF to explore further the opportunities to extend the collaboration with the PACAF on different aspects of air operations, such as involvement in a bilateral exercise.
Colonel Eric is currently in the country as part of the 2nd Airmen to Airmen Talks between the RBAirF and PACAF, held from 6 to 8 December 2022.
PEMANGKU TIMBALAN PEMERINTAH TUDB TERIMA KUNJUNGAN HORMAT DARI TIMBALAN PENGARAH STRATEGI, PERANCANGAN DAN PROGRAM, MARKAS TENTERA UDARA PASIFIK
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Selasa, 06 Disember 2022 – Kolonel (U) Hishamuddin bin Abidin, Pemangku Timbalan Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) pada hari ini menerima Kunjungan Hormat daripada Colonel Eric Schmidt, Timbalan Pengarah Strategi, Perancangan Dan Program, Markas Tentera Udara Pasifik (PACAF). Kolonel Eric diiringi oleh Leftenan Komander Samuel S. Kim, Chief of Defence Operation Cooperation Kedutaan Amerika Syarikat di Negara Brunei Darussalam, Leftenan Kolonel Nicholas Gardner, the Deputy Chief, International Affairs-Southeast Asia Branch, PACAF and Mr. Alex Zhang, the Country Director-Singapore, Malaysia, Brunei, International Affairs Division.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, kedua belah pihak berharap keberhasilan dalam Airmen to Airmen Talks kali Ke-2 diantara TUDB dan PACAF. Kedua belah pihak bersetuju penglibatan tersebut adalah platform yang terbaik bagi mengukuhkan lagi hubungan di antara kedua tentera udara yang telah terjalin sekian lama. Kedua pihak juga berbincang mengenai perkembangan keupayaan dan pertukaran maklumat yang boleh memberi kesempatan kepada TUDB untuk menerokai peluang-peluang operasi udara bagi mempertingkatkan Kerjasama bersama PACAF seperti latihan dua-hala.
Kolonel Eric sedang berada di Negara Brunei Darussalam sebagai sebahagian daripada program Airmen to Airmen Talks kali Ke-2 diantara TUDB dan PACAF yang diadakan pada 6 hingga 8 Disember 2022.
