COLONEL (U) HAJI HASZAHAIDI BIN HAJI AHMAD DAUD
Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud was born on 25 March 1972. He received his primary education in 1978 at a government primary school. He enlisted in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) in 1994. After completing his recruit training, he was promoted as Cadet Officer and sent to R.A.F. Cranwell United Kingdom for Initial Officer Training. He was commissioned as Second Lieutenant on 28 July 1995 after graduating from R.A.F. Cranwell and posted to No 3 Squadron/Flying Training School to start his flying training.
Throughout his career, Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi has held various appointments starting with an Operational Helicopter Pilot in 1998, Qualified Helicopter Instructor (Q.H.I.) in 2003, Flight Commander Training (F.C.T.) in 2006, Flight Commander Operation (FCO) 2006, Officer Commanding No 2 Sqn Ops Wg 2006, Officer Commanding No 3 Sqn Flying Trg Wg 2009, SO2 J3A JFHQ 2011, SO1 J3A JFHQ 2012, Commanding Officer Trg Wg RBAirF 2013, Head of Inspectorate Unit RBAirF 2014, Commander Operation Group RBAirF 2018 and Commandant of Training Institute RBAF 2020. Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi later took command as Deputy Commander of RBAirF effective 1 April 2022.
Throughout his service, Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi attended various courses and studies both local and abroad, involved with various military and non-military conferences, seminars, forums and exercises at national, regional and international levels.
By the consent of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, he was promoted to Colonel on 12 July 2019. He is pursuing further studies at the University of Brunei Darussalam for a Master in Public Policy and Management on 1 August 2019. He then continued his second semester at the University of California, Berkeley in the United States from 1 January 2020 to 15 May 2020 and did his final semester back at U.B.D.
Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi received the Most Blessed Order of Setia Negara Brunei, 4th Class (P.S.B.) in 2008, the Long Service and Good Conduct Medal in 2014, The Most Honourable Order of Seri Paduka Mahkota Brunei 3rd Class (S.M.B.) in 2016 and Golden Jubilee Medal (P.J.E.) in 2017.
Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi enjoys golfing, running, swimming, hiking, cycling, travelling and reading. He is married to an Education Officer, Hajah Rosnah is Haji Matamit and blessed with three children, Hajah Dina Qistina, Haji Muhammad Danish Qawi and Dhia Qaireen.
