RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Monday, 09 February 2026 – The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) officially commenced the Field Training Exercise (FTX) ALAP-ALAP X/2025 with an opening ceremony today. The annual exercise, conducted from 09 to 13 February 2026, is set within a contemporary operational environment designed to enhance the operational readiness and professional competency of RBAirF personnel.
Reflecting a joint and inter-agency approach, FTX ALAP-ALAP X/2025 involves selected units from the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) and the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), with additional support from the Public Works Department (PWD) and the Directorate of Development and Work Services (DDWS). The exercise serves to validate existing RBAirF operational procedures, command and control (C2) arrangements, and response mechanisms against evolving security challenges. Furthermore, it provides a critical platform to identify capability gaps across all Wings to strengthen the RBAirF's future operational posture.
The opening ceremony was officiated by Brigadier General (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander of the RBAirF. To symbolize the official commencement, the Commander presented exercise arm patches to the Head of Exercise Control (EXCON), the Exercise Chief Umpire, and the Chief of Exercise Safety.
In his opening remarks, the Commander of the RBAirF emphasized that safety remains the paramount priority throughout the planning and execution phases. He further urged all participants to uphold the highest standards of teamwork, commitment, and professionalism to ensure the successful and safe achievement of all exercise objectives.

UPACARA PEMBUKAAN LATIHAN MEDAN ALAP-ALAP X/2025
PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Isnin, 09 Februari 2026 – Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) secara rasmi telah memulakan Latihan Medan (Field Training Exercise (FTX)) ALAP-ALAP X/2025 melalui satu majlis pembukaan hari ini. Eksesais tahunan yang dijalankan bermula 09 hingga 13 Februari 2026 ini berlatarkan persekitaran operasi kontemporari, bertujuan untuk meningkatkan kesiapsiagaan operasi serta kompetensi profesional warga TUDB.
Mencerminkan pendekatan bersama dan antara agensi, FTX ALAP-ALAP X/2025 melibatkan penyertaan unit-unit terpilih daripada Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dan Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), dengan sokongan daripada Jabatan Kerja Raya (JKR) serta Jabatanarah Pembangunan dan Perkhidmatan Kerja. Eksesais ini berfungsi untuk menilai dan mengesahkan prosedur operasi TUDB sedia ada, pengaturan perintah dan kawalan (C2), serta mekanisme tindak balas terhadap cabaran keselamatan yang sentiasa berubah. Selain itu, ia menjadi platform kritikal untuk mengenal pasti jurang keupayaan di setiap Cawangan bagi memperkukuh postur operasi TUDB pada masa hadapan.
Majlis pembukaan telah dirasmikan oleh Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Pemerintah TUDB. Sebagai simbolik permulaan rasmi, Pemerintah TUDB telah menyampaikan lencana eksesais kepada Ketua Kawalan Eksesais, Ketua Pengadil Eksesais, dan Ketua Keselamatan Eksesais.
Dalam ucapan perasmian, Pemerintah TUDB menekankan bahawa keselamatan tetap menjadi keutamaan sepanjang fasa perancangan dan pelaksanaan. Beliau seterusnya menyeru semua peserta untuk mengekalkan tahap kerjasama berpasukan, komitmen, dan profesionalisme yang tinggi bagi memastikan semua objektif eksesais dicapai dengan jayanya dan selamat.
