REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Wednesday, 7 January 2026 — Brigadier General (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), has concluded a three-day introductory visit to the Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF) from 5 to 7 January 2026. The visit marked his first official engagement with the RSAF following his appointment and reaffirmed the close and long-standing bilateral defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
During the visit, the Commander RBAirF was accorded a Guard of Honour at the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Singapore, and was presented with the Honorary Pilot Wing by Major-General Kelvin Fan, Chief of Air Force. The conferment symbolises formal recognition of the Commander RBAirF's role in strengthening bilateral air force relations and enhancing professional cooperation between the two services.
The Commander RBAirF conducted a series of high-level courtesy calls on senior defence leadership of the Republic of Singapore, including Major-General Kelvin Fan, Chief of Air Force; His Excellency Vice Admiral Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force; and His Excellency Mr Chan Chun Sing, Minister for Defence. Discussions underscored the strong and enduring defence ties between both nations, with particular emphasis on the upcoming 50th Anniversary of the establishment of defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore in 2026.
As part of the programme, an aerial tour of Singapore aboard an H225M helicopter was conducted, followed by a visit to the 18th Divisional Air Defence Artillery Battalion where the Commander RBAirF had the opportunity to operate the RBS 70 Ground-Based Air Defence simulator. The engagements included discussions on prospective initiatives and future cooperation between the two air forces.
To conclude the visit, the Chief of Air Force hosted an official dinner in honour of the Commander RBAirF. The occasion provided an additional platform to strengthen professional rapport, foster mutual understanding, and reinforce the close ties between the leadership of both air forces.
This introductory visit highlights the shared commitment of RBAirF and RSAF to further strengthen bilateral cooperation, deepen professional engagements, and sustain the long-standing partnership between both services.

PEMERINTAH TUDB MEMPERKUKUHKAN HUBUNGAN DUA HALA TENTERA UDARA SEMASA LAWATAN PENGENALAN KE TURS
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Rabu, 07 Januari 2026 — Brigedier Jeneral (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Pemerintah Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), telah menamatkan lawatan pengenalan selama tiga hari ke Tentera Udara Republik Singapura dari 05 hingga 07 Januari 2026. Lawatan ini merupakan penglibatan rasmi pertama beliau bersama Tentera Udara Republik Singapura (TURS) sejak pelantikan sebagai Pemerintah TUDB serta menegaskan hubungan pertahanan dua hala yang erat dan sekian lama terjalin antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
Lawatan bermula dengan kunjungan ke Kementerian Pertahanan, Republik Singapura di mana Pemerintah TUDB telah diberikan tabik hormat oleh Kawalan Kehormatan dan seterusnya menerima Lencana Juruterbang Kehormat yang disampaikan oleh
Major General Kelvin Fan, Pemerintah TURS. Penyampaian lencana tersebut merupakan pengiktirafan rasmi terhadap peranan Pemerintah TUDB dalam memperkukuh hubungan dua hala serta meningkatkan kerjasama profesional antara kedua-dua Tentera Udara.
Semasa lawatan, Pemerintah TUDB telah mengadakan beberapa siri kunjungan hormat ke atas kepimpinan tertinggi pertahanan Republik Singapura, termasuk
Major General Kelvin Fan, Pemerintah TURS; Tuan Yang Terutama
Vice Admiral Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Ketua Turus Pertahanan; serta Tuan Yang Terutama Chan Chun Sing, Menteri Pertahanan. Perbincangan menegaskan hubungan pertahanan yang kukuh dan berterusan antara kedua-dua negara, dengan penekanan khusus kepada ulang tahun ke-50 penubuhan hubungan pertahanan antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura yang akan disambut pada tahun 2026.
Sebagai sebahagian daripada program, tinjauan udara Singapura menggunakan helikopter H225M telah dijalankan, diikuti dengan lawatan ke Batalion Artileri Pertahanan Udara Divisional Ke-18 Pemerintah TUDB telah diberikan peluang untuk mengendalikan simulator RBS 70
Ground-Based Air Defence. Perjumpaan tersebut merangkumi perbincangan mengenai inisiatif berpotensi dan kerjasama masa hadapan antara kedua-dua Tentera Udara.
Sebagai penutup kepada lawatan tersebut, Pemerintah TURS telah menganjurkan Majlis Makan Malam rasmi sebagai salah satu tanda penghormatan kepada Pemerintah TUDB. Majlis tersebut menyediakan platform tambahan bagi memperkukuh hubungan profesional, memupuk persefahaman bersama, serta mempererat hubungan kepimpinan antara kedua-dua Tentera Udara.
Lawatan pengenalan ini menekankan komitmen bersama kedua-dua Tentera Udara untuk terus memperkukuh kerjasama dua hala, memperdalamkan lagi penglibatan profesional, serta mengekalkan hubungan strategik yang telah lama terjalin antara TUDB dan TURS.
