​RIMBA AIR FORCE BASE, Thursday, 28 August 2025 — The Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) hosted the Main Planning Conference (MPC) with the Royal Malaysian Air Force (RMAF) for the upcoming Search and Rescue Exercise Malaysia Brunei (SAREX MALBRU) 12/2025 from 26 to 28 August 2025 at CAE Brunei Multi-Purpose Training Centre (MPTC), Brunei Darussalam. The conference was co-chaired by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Mohamad Fazley bin Hasabullah, Exercise Co- Director from the RBAirF, and Lieutenant Colonel Asmil Faiq bin Adnan, Exercise Co-Director from the RMAF.

The MPC aims to consolidate and align the overall exercise schedule and programme including conducting site visits to proposed exercise areas and the facilitation of Subject Matter Expert Exchanges (SMEEs). Moreover, the MPC also explored several mission exercise scenarios and administrative aspects for the conduct of a conducive and effective combined exercise between the two air forces. SAREX MALBRU 12/2025 is scheduled to take place from 25 to 31 October 2025 in Brunei Darussalam, involving cross-border land and maritime Search and Rescue (SAR) training between Brunei Darussalam and Malaysia.

The conference marked a significant step forward in preparation for the success of SAREX MALBRU 12/2025 while further strengthening the longstanding cooperation and close relationship between both nations. The MPC concluded with closing remarks by both Exercise Co-Directors and the signing of the MPC minutes.

PERSIDANGAN PERANCANGAN UTAMA (MPC) SAREX MALBRU 12/2025

PANGKALAN TENTERA UDARA RIMBA, Khamis 28 Ogos 2025 — Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB) telah melaksanakan persidangan Main Planning Conference (MPC) bersama Tentera Udara Diraja Malaysia (TUDM) bagi Latihan Mencari dan Menyelamat Malaysia Brunei (SAREX MALBRU) 12/2025 pada 26 hingga 28 Ogos 2025 bertempat di CAE Brunei Multi-Purpose Training Centre (MPTC), Brunei Darussalam. Persidangan ini telah dipengerusikan oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Mohamad Fazley bin Hasabullah, Pengarah Bersama Latihan dari TUDB, dan Leftenan Kolonel Asmil Faiq bin Adnan, Pengarah Bersama Latihan dari TUDM.

MPC ini bertujuan untuk membuat koordinasi dan menyelaraskan aspek-aspek eksesais termasuk penetapan aturcara kejadian serta jadual eksesais secara menyeluruh. Dalam perkara ini juga, peserta MPC juga berpeluang untuk membuat lawatan ke tempat latihan eksesais yang dikenalpasti serta membincangkan secara terperinci senario eksesais Misi Mencari dan Menyelamat (Search and Rescue) yang akan dilaksanakan. SAREX MALBRU 12/2025 dijadualkan berlangsung dari 25 hingga 31 Oktober 2025 di Brunei Darussalam, melibatkan latihan operasi bersama Search and Rescue rentas sempadan darat dan laut di antara Brunei Darussalam dan Malaysia.

Persidangan ini merupakan salah satu langkah penting ke arah kejayaan SAREX MALBRU 12/2025 dan seterusnya mengukuhkan lagi hubungan kerjasama erat yang sedia terjalin antara kedua-dua negara. MPC ini diakhiri dengan ucapan penutup daripada kedua-dua Pengarah Bersama Latihan serta penandatanganan minit persidangan MPC.
