PASSING-OUT PARADE CEREMONY FOR MALE RECRUITS OF THE 180TH INTAKE OF THE ROYAL BRUNEI ARMED FORCES

PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 21 August 2026 – A total of 194 male recruits from the 180th Intake of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) successfully completed their Basic Military Training during the Passing-Out Parade Ceremony held at the Parade Square of the Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces (TI RBAF), Penanjong Garrison, this morning.

Present as the Guest of Honour was Colonel Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Commander of the Joint Force, Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also in attendance were Deputy Service Commanders, Directors, senior officers, officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence, as well as the families and guardians of the graduating recruits.

The ceremony commenced with the inspection of the parade by the Guest of Honour, followed by the delivery of his speech. In his address, the Guest of Honour extended his congratulations to the 194 male recruits of Intake 180 on their successful completion of Basic Military Training, while also expressing appreciation to the instructors, as well as the parents and guardians, for their continuous support, encouragement and commitment throughout the training period. He emphasised that the recruits’ achievement was the result of perseverance, discipline, resilience and determination cultivated over approximately 14 weeks of training.

The Guest of Honour emphasised that the completion of Basic Military Training marks only the beginning of the recruits’ military careers, with further training, challenges and responsibilities ahead. He urged them to uphold loyalty, integrity, discipline and professionalism, while embracing the values of Melayu Islam Beraja, strengthening camaraderie, developing effective leadership and carrying out their duties with courage and dedication. Discipline and Integrity are the foundations of a military career that must always be maintained, honed, strengthened and defended no matter what the circumstances wherever you are.

In reiterating His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam’s titah on the occasion of His Majesty’s 80th Birthday, the Guest of Honour also stressed the importance of trust, loyalty and unity, and called upon the recruits to become visionary leaders who contribute to safeguarding the nation’s sovereignty, peace and prosperity.

In acknowledgement of exemplary performance during the training period, awards were conferred in various categories. For the 180th Intake Male Recruits, the Overall Best Recruit was awarded to 56783 Recruit Mohd Fitri Aminuddin bin Asman. The award for Best in Military Skills was presented to 56889 Recruit Abd Khaliq bin Suhaidi, while the award for Best in Small Arms Training was received by 56965 Recruit Muhd Amar Raziq bin Rosman, RBN. The Best in Physical Training award was presented to 56821 Recruit Muhd Izran bin Izlin.

In addition, the Best Platoon Sergeant Award was awarded to 19006 Sergeant Shafwan bin Mohaimin, while the Best Section Commander Award was presented to 53383 Lance Corporal Md Daniel Firdaus bin Abdullah Roddy Suhardy in recognition of exemplary leadership, professionalism and dedication throughout the course of training.

The ceremony concluded with a recitation of Doa led by 1464 Lieutenant Mohammad Noor Ridzwan bin Ahad from the RBAF Religious Directorate.

The parade was led by 1553 Lieutenant Mohammad Amir bin Haji Awang Sahari.

The Passing-Out Parade Ceremony not only marked the successful completion of Basic Military Training by the recruits but also symbolised their transition into trained members of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, ready to shoulder the responsibility of safeguarding the nation’s peace and sovereignty.

UPACARA PERBARISAN TAMAT LATIHAN REKRUT LELAKI ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI PENGAMBILAN KE-180

PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 21 Ogos 2026 – Seramai 194 rekrut lelaki Pengambilan Ke-180 Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah berjaya menamatkan Latihan Asas Ketenteraan melalui Upacara Perbarisan Tamat Latihan yang berlangsung di Padang Kawad Institut Latihan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (IL ABDB), Penanjong Garison, pagi ini.

Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Yang Mulia Kolonel Pengiran Noor Rumaizi bin Pengiran Othman, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersama, Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Timbalan-Timbalan Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pengarah-Pengarah, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota Kementerian Pertahanan, serta keluarga dan penjaga para rekrut yang diraikan.

Upacara dimulakan dengan pemeriksaan perbarisan oleh Tetamu Kehormat, diikuti dengan penyampaian ucapan rasmi. Dalam ucapannya, Tetamu Kehormat merakamkan setinggi-tinggi tahniah kepada seramai 194 rekrut lelaki Pengambilan Ke-180 atas kejayaan menamatkan Latihan Asas Ketenteraan, di samping menzahirkan penghargaan kepada para jurulatih serta ibu bapa dan penjaga atas sokongan, dorongan dan komitmen berterusan sepanjang tempoh latihan tersebut. Beliau menegaskan bahawa kejayaan para rekrut adalah hasil daripada kecekalan, disiplin, ketahanan dan semangat juang yang telah dipupuk sepanjang kira-kira 14 minggu latihan.

Tetamu Kehormat menekankan bahawa tamatnya Latihan Asas Ketenteraan hanyalah permulaan kepada kerjaya ketenteraan para rekrut, dengan latihan, cabaran dan tanggungjawab yang lebih besar menanti di hadapan. Beliau menyeru para rekrut agar sentiasa menjunjung kesetiaan, integriti, disiplin dan profesionalisme, serta menghayati nilai-nilai Melayu Islam Beraja, mengukuhkan ikatan persaudaraan, membina kepimpinan yang berwibawa dan melaksanakan amanah dengan penuh keberanian serta dedikasi. Disiplin dan Integriti adalah asas dalam kerjaya tentera yang perlu sentiasa dipelihara, diasah, diperkukuh dan dipertahankan walau dalam apa jua keadaan dan di mana jua kamu berada.

Dalam memperingati titah Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam sempena Ulang Tahun Hari Keputeraan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Ke-80 Tahun, Yang Mulia Tetamu Kehormat turut menekankan kepentingan kepercayaan, kesetiaan dan perpaduan, serta menyeru para rekrut untuk menjadi pemimpin yang berwawasan dalam menyumbang kepada pemeliharaan kedaulatan, keamanan dan kesejahteraan negara.

Sebagai penghargaan terhadap kecemerlangan yang ditunjukkan sepanjang tempoh latihan, beberapa anugerah telah disampaikan dalam kategori masing-masing. Bagi Rekrut Lelaki Pengambilan Ke-180, anugerah Rekrut Terbaik Keseluruhan telah diberikan kepada Yang Mulia 56783 Rekrut Mohd Fitri Aminuddin bin Asman. Anugerah Kemahiran Tentera Terbaik telah disampaikan kepada Yang Mulia 56889 Rekrut Abd Khaliq bin Suhaidi, manakala anugerah Senjata Ringan Terbaik diberikan kepada Yang Mulia Rekrut 56965 Muhd Amar Raziq bin Rosman, TLDB. Seterusnya, anugerah Latihan Jasmani Terbaik telah disampaikan kepada 56821 Rekrut Muhd Izran bin Izlin.

Selain itu, anugerah Platun Sarjan Terbaik telah disampaikan kepada Yang Mulia 19006 Sarjan Shafwan bin Mohaimin, manakala anugerah Ketua Seksyen Terbaik telah diberikan kepada Yang Mulia 53382 Lans Koperal Md Daniel Firdaus bin Abdullah Roddy Suhardy, sebagai pengiktirafan terhadap kepimpinan, profesionalisme dan komitmen cemerlang sepanjang latihan.

Upacara diakhiri dengan bacaan Doa yang dipimpin oleh Yang Mulia 1464 Leftenan Mohammad Noor Ridzwan bin Ahad dari Jabatanarah Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT).

Perbarisan tersebut diketuai oleh 1553 Leftenan Mohammad Amir bin Haji Awang Sahari.

Upacara Perbarisan Tamat Latihan ini bukan sahaja menandakan kejayaan para rekrut menamatkan Latihan Asas Ketenteraan, malah melambangkan peralihan mereka menjadi anggota ABDB yang terlatih, berdisiplin dan bersedia untuk memikul amanah dalam mempertahankan keamanan serta kedaulatan Negara Brunei Darussalam.
