MUARA NAVAL BASE, ROYAL BRUNEI NAVY, Saturday, 10 October 2026 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Excellency Lawrence Wong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore today attend the Grand Finale Ceremony held in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration of Brunei Darussalam–Republic of Singapore Defence Relations at the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) Base, Muara.
Accompanying His Majesty were His Royal Highness Prince Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, the Crown Prince and Senior Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and His Royal Highness 920 Lieutenant Colonel (Udara) Prince ‘Abdul Mateen, Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The arrival of His Majesty and members of the Royal Family at the Muara Naval Base’s Helipad was welcomed by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Coordinating Minister for National Security, Minister at the Prime Minister’s Office and Minister of Defence II; Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and the Commander of the RBN.
Also present at the Ceremony were His Excellency Chan Chun Sing, Coordinating Minister for Public Services and Minister for Defence of the Republic of Singapore; His Excellency Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Ministry of Home Affairs and His Excellency Vice Admiral Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Chief of Defence Force, Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
His Majesty and members of the Royal Family proceeded to the Holding Room at the Warrant Officers’, Chief Petty Officers’ and Petty Officers’ Mess, to meet with His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore and members of the Singapore delegation.
His Majesty and His Excellency as well as members of the Royal Family and Singapore delegation proceeded to the RBN Parade Square to witness the Joint Parade, which marked the highlight of the Golden Jubilee Celebration commemorating five decades of close defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore.
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam then proceeded to the Royal Dais to receive the Royal Salute, after His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore had received the Prime Minister’s Salute. His Majesty and His Excellency the Prime Minister of Republic of Singapore then inspected the Joint Parade which was commanded by Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel Mohammad Sufrien bin Johan, Commanding Officer of the Second Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) with Warrant Officer II Sng Ping Yi of the SAF serving as the Parade Regimental Sergeant Major (RSM).
The parade comprised 252 personnel from the RBAF and SAF, representing the RBLF, Singapore Army, RBN, Republic of Singapore Navy (RSN), Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF) and Republic of Singapore Air Force (RSAF), as well as the Combined RBAF and SAF Band. The Joint Parade, which was complemented by a showcase of RBAF and SAF assets, reflected the longstanding friendship, close cooperation and strong defence ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore over the past five decades.
The parade continued with a quick march-past, followed by the ‘Advance in Review Order’. His Majesty then consented to deliver a Titah in conjunction with the Golden Jubilee Celebration, followed by three resounding chants of “Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik”.
To bless the ceremony, a Doa Selamat was recited by Yang Mulia Lieutenant Colonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Acting Director of the RBAF Religious Directorate (JAMA’AT).
His Majesty the Sultan and Yang di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam and His Excellency the Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore were then jointly accorded the Royal Salute on the Royal Dais as the national anthems of Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore were played in succession.
The ceremony continued with a sail-past by the RBN ships KDB DARUSSALAM and KDB AL-FARUQ, together with the Republic of Singapore Navy’s MSRV PROTECTOR, followed by a fly-past involving five helicopters comprising the RBAirF’s S-70i Black Hawk and the SAF’s H225.
His Majesty and His Excellency as well as members of the Royal Family proceeded to the Warrant Officers’, Chief Petty Officers’ and Petty Officers’ Mess for the launch of the Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore Defence Relations Golden Jubilee Gallery, where His Majesty consented to receive the Commemorative Book and Commemorative Coin, followed by the presentation to His Excellency.
The Golden Jubilee Gallery showcases the special and longstanding defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore through a visual journey spanning five decades of bilateral relations between the two countries, beginning from the reign of Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, the 28th Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, together with Singapore’s founding Prime Minister, the late His Excellency Lee Kuan Yew. This close relationship is continued and further strengthened under the leadership of His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, together with successive leaders of the Republic of Singapore, and continues to flourish to this day.
His Majesty and His Excellency with members of the Royal Family proceeded to the RBN Officers’ Mess where His Majesty subsequently graced the Golden Jubilee Cake-Cutting Ceremony together with His Excellency. The ceremony then witnessed His Majesty consenting to receive a pesambah, followed by the presentation of a commemorative gift to His Excellency, before concluding with the Royal Luncheon.
Prior to the conclusion of the ceremony, His Majesty, together with His Excellency, were introduced to members of the Combined RBAF and SAF Band, followed by a Junjung Ziarah with RBAF and SAF personnel involved in the Joint Parade. His Majesty consented to sign the Royal Parchment, while His Excellency signed the Commemorative Parchment, before the ceremony concluded with a group photo session.

PANGKALAN TENTERA LAUT DIRAJA BRUNEI, MUARA, Sabtu, 10 Oktober 2026 – Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam hari ini berkenan berangkat bercemar duli bersama Tuan Yang Terutama Lawrence Wong, Perdana Menteri Republik Singapura ke Majlis Kemuncak sempena Sambutan Jubli Emas Hubungan Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura yang berlangsung di Pangkalan Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), Muara.
Mengiringi keberangkatan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia ialah Paduka-Paduka Anaknda Baginda, Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri Pengiran Muda Mahkota Pengiran Muda Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah, Menteri Kanan di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Duli Yang Teramat Mulia Paduka Seri 920 Leftenan Kolonel (Udara) Pengiran Muda ‘Abdul Mateen, Menteri Hal Ehwal Luar Negeri.
Keberangkatan tiba Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia dan ahli-ahli Kerabat Diraja di Helipad Pangkalan TLDB dijunjung oleh Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Awang Haji Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, Menteri Penyelaras bagi Keselamatan Negara, Menteri di Jabatan Perdana Menteri dan Menteri Pertahanan II; Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Pemerintah TLDB.
Turut hadir semasa Majlis Kemuncak sempena Sambutan Jubli Emas Hubungan Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura ialah Tuan Yang Terutama Chan Chun Sing, Menteri Penyelaras bagi Perkhidmatan Awam dan Menteri Pertahanan Republik Singapura; Tuan Yang Terutama Zhulkarnain Abdul Rahim, Menteri Negara di Kementerian Ehwal Luar Negeri dan Kementerian Ehwal Dalam Negeri dan Tuan Yang Terutama Laksamana Madya Dato Paduka Seri Aaron Beng, Ketua Turus Pertahanan, Angkatan Bersenjata Singapura (SAF).
Sejurus keberangkatan tiba, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia dan ahli-ahli Kerabat Diraja dijunjung ke Bilik Khas di Mes Pegawai Waran, Bintara Kanan dan Bintara TLDB untuk menyertai Tuan Yang Terutama Perdana Menteri Republik Singapura dan delegasi Singapura.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berangkat bersama Tuan Yang Terutama beserta ahli-ahli Kerabat Diraja dan delegasi Singapura ke Padang Kawad TLDB bagi menyaksikan Perbarisan Gabungan (Joint Parade) yang merupakan acara kemuncak Sambutan Jubli Emas bagi memperingati lima dekad hubungan pertahanan yang erat antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam berkenan berangkat ke Pentas Diraja untuk menerima Tabik Hormat Diraja selepas Tuan Yang Terutama Perdana Menteri Republik Singapura menerima Tabik Hormat Perdana Menteri. Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia kemudian berangkat bersama Tuan Yang Terutama bagi memeriksa Perbarisan Gabungan yang diketuai oleh Pemerintah Perbarisan, Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Mohammad Sufrien bin Johan, Pegawai Pemerintah Batalion Kedua, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dengan Pegawai Waran II Sng Ping Yi dari SAF selaku Sarjan Mejar Rejimen (SMR) Perbarisan.
Perbarisan tersebut melibatkan seramai 252 anggota ABDB dan SAF terdiri daripada TDDB, Tentera Darat Republik Singapura, TLDB, Tentera Laut Republik Singapura (RSN), Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei (TUDB), Tentera Udara Republik Singapura (RSAF), termasuk Gabungan Pancaragam ABDB dan SAF. Perbarisan Gabungan yang turut diserikan dengan pertunjukan aset ABDB dan SAF mencerminkan persahabatan yang sekian lama terjalin, kerjasama erat dan hubungan pertahanan yang kukuh antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura sepanjang lima dekad.
Perbarisan diteruskan dengan berjalan lalu dalam masa cepat dan seterusnya mara ke hadapan untuk diperhati semula. Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia kemudiannya berkenan mengurniakan Titah sempena Sambutan Jubli Emas tersebut, yang disusuli dengan tiga kali laungan “Daulat Kebawah Duli Tuan Patik”.
Bagi memberkati majlis, Doa Selamat dibacakan oleh Yang Mulia Leftenan Kolonel Abdul Mujib bin Haji Japar, Pemangku Pengarah Jabatanarah Agama ABDB (JAMA’AT).
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam serta Tuan Yang Terutama Perdana Menteri Republik Singapura seterusnya bersama-sama menerima Tabik Hormat Diraja di Pentas Diraja, di mana lagu kebangsaan Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Singapura dimainkan secara berurutan.
Majlis disusuli dengan pelayaran lalu kapal-kapal TLDB KDB DARUSSALAM dan KDB AL-FARUQ serta TLRS MSRV PROTECTOR diikuti dengan terbang lalu lima buah helikopter yang terdiri daripada S-70i Black Hawk TUDB serta H225 RSAF.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berangkat bersama Tuan Yang Terutama serta ahli-ahli Kerabat Diraja ke Mes Pegawai Waran, Bintara Kanan dan Bintara TLDB bagi pelancaran Brunei Darussalam and Republic of Singapore Defence Relations Golden Jubilee Gallery, di mana Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berkenan menerima Buku Kenangan dan Syiling Kenangan diikuti dengan penyampaian kepada Tuan Yang Terutama.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia seterusnya dijunjung berangkat ke Mes Pegawai TLDB bersama Tuan Yang Terutama serta ahli-ahli Kerabat Diraja di mana Baginda bersama Tuan Yang Terutama menyempurnakan Majlis Memotong Kek sempena Sambutan Jubli Emas. Majlis juga menyaksikan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berkenan menerima pesambah, diikuti dengan penyampaian cenderahati kepada Tuan Yang Terutama, sebelum diakhiri dengan Majlis Santap Tengah Hari Diraja.
Sebelum majilis berakhir, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berkenan bagi disembahperkenalkan kepada anggota Pancaragam Gabungan ABDB dan SAF bersama Tuan Yang Terutama yang juga diikuti dengan Junjung Ziarah bersama warga ABDB dan SAF yang terlibat dalam Perbarisan Gabungan. Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia juga berkenan menandatangani Lembaran Kenangan Keberangkatan, manakala Tuan Yang Terutama menandatangani Lembaran Kenangan, sebelum majlis diakhiri dengan sesi begambar ramai.
