RIMBA, Friday, 3 July 2026 – The Ministry of Defence organised a Khatam Al-Qur’an ceremony to mark the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) 65th Anniversary. The ceremony took place across all RBAF camp suraus including Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru, with the main event held at Surau Al-Barakah, Rimba Air Force Base.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF. Also in attendance were members of the RBAF Executive Committee, Directors, senior officers, officers, and personnel from the Ministry of Defence.
Also invited as special guests at the ceremony were representatives from the Department of Civil Aviation, Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Arabic School Rimba, University of Brunei Darussalam, Penghulu of Mukim Gadong ‘A’, and Vliiage Head of Kampong Rimba Area 3.
The ceremony commenced with Surah Al-Fatihah led by the Commander of the RBAF. This was followed by the Khatam Al-Qur’an, Takhtim, and Doa Khatam, led by Lieutenant Mohammad Noor Ridzwan bin Ahad. After a recitation of the Dikir Marhaban, the Guest of Honour presented tokens of appreciation to the khatam participants. The event concluded with a congregational Fardhu Asar prayer, a group photo session, and refreshments in the surau’s courtyard.
KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN ZAHIRKAN KESYUKURAN SEMPENA HARI ULANG TAHUN ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI KE-65 MELALUI MAJLIS KHATAM AL-QUR’AN
RIMBA, Jumaat, 3 Julai 2026 – Kementerian Pertahanan telah menganjurkan Majlis Khatam Al- Qur’an bagi memperingati Hari Ulang Tahun Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) yang ke-65. Majlis tersebut berlangsung di semua surau perkhemahan ABDB termasuk Masjid Pulau Baru-Baru, dengan majlis utama diadakan di Surau Al- Barakah, Pangkalan Tentera Udara Rimba.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat majlis ialah Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah ABDB. Turut hadir ialah Ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Eksekutif ABDB, Pengarah-pengarah, Pegawai-pegawai Kanan, Pegawai-pegawai dan warga Kementerian Pertahanan.
Turut diundang sebagai jemputan khas di majlis ini ialah wakil dari Jabatan Penerbangan Awam, Sekolah Arab Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Rimba, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Penghulu Mukim Gadong ‘A’, dan Ketua Kampung Rimba Kawasan 3.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Surah Al-Fatihah yang dipimpin oleh Yang Mulia Pemerintah ABDB. Ini diikuti dengan bacaan Khatam Al-Qur’an, Takhtim, dan Doa Khatam yang dipimpin oleh Leftenan Mohammad Noor Ridzwan bin Ahad. Selepas bacaan Dikir Marhaban, Tetamu Kehormat menyampaikan cenderahati kepada para peserta khatam. Majlis diakhiri dengan sembahyang Fardhu Asar berjemaah, sesi bergambar ramai, dan jamuan ringan di perkarangan surau.
