BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday, 13 May 2025 – The Ministry of Defence of Brunei Darussalam welcomed an official visit from His Excellency Lieutenant General Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek”, the Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces, this morning.
Upon arrival, His Excellency, the Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces was greeted by Yang Mulia Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). A full honours were accorded to His Excellency, Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces, including a General Salute and an inspection of the Guard of Honour mounted by personnel from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF).
Following the ceremonial inspection, His Excellency, the Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces then proceeded to make his Goodwill Call to the Commander of the RBAF. During the call, both leaders agreed on strengthening the defence cooperation, particularly through joint training initiatives, the sharing of expertise, and opportunities for mutual exchange in training and courses for personnel of both Armed Forces. Both leaders look forward to foster their close collaboration and establish a solid foundation through defence relationship.
Immediately after the call, His Excellency, the Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces received a comprehensive Corporate Brief about the Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces. This was followed by an informative tour of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Museum, offering insight into the history, achievements, and traditions of the Brunei’s military.
Throughout His Excellency’s official visit in Brunei Darussalam, His Excellency, Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces is scheduled to visit various units within the RBAF, including Training Institute RBAF, Defence Academy RBAF and the Royal Brunei Navy, alongside other cultural centres and historical sites within the country.
His Excellency Lieutenant General Domingos Raul “Falur Rate Laek”, the Chief of Defence Force of Timor Leste’s Defence Forces is scheduled to continue his official visit to Brunei Darussalam from 12 May 2025 to 15 May 2025, marking yet another milestone in the evolving partnership between the two countries.

BOLKIAH GARISON, Selasa, 13 Mei 2025 – Kementerian Pertahanan Negara Brunei Darussalam mengalu-alukan lawatan rasmi Tuan Yang Terutama Letnan Jenderal Domingos Raul ‘Falur Rate Laek’, Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste, pagi ini.
Sejurus tiba, Tuan Yang Terutama Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste telah disambut oleh Yang Mulia Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Satu penghormatan penuh telah diberikan kepada Tuan Yang Terutama Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste, termasuk menerima Tabik Hormat dan seterusnya memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan yang terdiri dari anggota Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB).
Selesai memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan, Tuan Yang Terutama Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste kemudiannya mengadakan Kunjungan Muhibbah kepada Yang Mulia Pemerintah ABDB. Semasa perjumpaan tersebut, kedua-dua pemimpin bersetuju untuk mengukuhkan hubungan kerjasama pertahanan, khususnya melalui inisiatif latihan bersama, perkongsian kepakaran, dan peluang untuk pertukaran bersama dalam latihan dan kursus untuk anggota-anggota kedua-dua Angkatan Tentera. Kedua-dua pemimpin turut berharap untuk memupuk kerjasama erat dengan menubuhkan asas kukuh yang diwujudkan melalui hubungan pertahanan.
Sejurus selepas perjumpaan tersebut, Tuan Yang Terutama Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste menerima Taklimat Korporat mengenai Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB. Ini diikuti dengan lawatan berunsurkan pengetahuan ke Muzium ABDB, yangmana menawarkan maklumat tentang sejarah, pencapaian dan tradisi tentera Brunei.
Sepanjang lawatan rasmi Tuan Yang Terutama Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste di Negara Brunei Darussalam, beliau dijadual akan melawat pelbagai unit-unit dalam ABDB, seperti; Institut Latihan ABDB, Akademi Pertahanan ABDB dan Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei (TLDB), di samping beberapa lawatan ke Pusat-pusat kebudayaan dan tempat-tempat bersejarah di negara ini.
Tuan Yang Terutama Letnan Jenderal Domingos Raul ‘Falur Rate Laek’, Panglima Pasukan Pertahanan Timor Leste akan meneruskan lawatan rasminya di Negara Brunei Darussalam dari 12 Mei 2025 hingga 15 Mei 2025, yangmana menandakan satu lagi detik kejayaan dalam persahabatan yang kian berkembang antara kedua-dua negara.
