SEOUL, REPUBLIC OF KOREA, Tuesday, 08 September 2026 – Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF), participated in the 15th Seoul Defense Dialogue (SDD 2026), held in Seoul, Republic of Korea.
Hosted by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, SDD 2026 is held under the theme “Toward a New Coexistence in the Age of Turbulence.” The dialogue brings together senior defence officials and security experts to exchange views on regional and international security issues and challenges.
During SDD 2026, the Deputy Commander RBAF attended three plenary sessions entitled “Collaborative Architecture for International Stability”, “Evolution of Alliances and Partnerships” and “Defense Industrial Ecosystem and Global Supply Chain Resilience.” He also attended a special session entitled “Fractures in the Maritime Order and Cooperative Responses.”
The Deputy Commander RBAF also attended a Welcome Dinner hosted by the Minister of National Defense of the Republic of Korea.
The RBAF’s participation in SDD 2026 reflects Brunei Darussalam’s continued commitment to defence diplomacy and constructive dialogue, while providing an important platform for the exchange of views on evolving security challenges and the strengthening of professional engagements with regional and international defence partners.
The Seoul Defense Dialogue is a high-level multilateral security dialogue hosted by the Ministry of National Defense of the Republic of Korea, aimed at promoting cooperation, dialogue and confidence-building in addressing regional and global security challenges.
Accompanying the Deputy Commander RBAF were Lieutenant Colonel Ghazali and Lieutenant Junior Grade Azli Azhar.
TIMBALAN PEMERINTAH ABDB MENYERTAI SEOUL DEFENSE DIALOGUE KE-15 TAHUN 2026
SEOUL, REPUBLIK KOREA, Selasa, 08 September 2026 – Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohammad Sharif bin Dato Paduka Haji Ibrahim, Timbalan Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), telah menyertai Seoul Defense Dialogue ke-15 (SDD 2026) yang berlangsung di Seoul, Republik Korea.
SDD 2026 yang dihoskan oleh Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Korea pada tahun ini membawa tema “Toward a New Coexistence in the Age of Turbulence”. Dialog tersebut menghimpunkan pegawai-pegawai kanan pertahanan dan pakar-pakar keselamatan bagi bertukar-tukar pandangan mengenai isu serta cabaran keselamatan serantau dan antarabangsa.
Sepanjang SDD 2026, Timbalan Pemerintah ABDB menghadiri tiga sesi pleno yang bertajuk “Collaborative Architecture for International Stability”, “Evolution of Alliances and Partnerships” dan “Defense Industrial Ecosystem and Global Supply Chain Resilience”. Beliau juga menghadiri sesi khas bertajuk “Fractures in the Maritime Order and Cooperative Responses”.
Timbalan Pemerintah ABDB turut menghadiri Majlis Makan Malam yang dihoskan oleh Menteri Pertahanan Republik Korea.
Penyertaan ABDB dalam SDD 2026 mencerminkan komitmen berterusan Negara Brunei Darussalam terhadap diplomasi pertahanan dan dialog yang konstruktif, di samping menyediakan platform penting bagi pertukaran pandangan mengenai cabaran keselamatan yang semakin berkembang serta memperkukuhkan hubungan profesional dengan rakan-rakan pertahanan serantau dan antarabangsa.
Seoul Defense Dialogue merupakan platform dialog keselamatan pelbagai hala peringkat tinggi yang dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Pertahanan Republik Korea, bertujuan untuk menggalakkan kerjasama, dialog serta pembinaan keyakinan dalam menangani cabaran keselamatan serantau dan global. Mengiringi Timbalan Pemerintah ABDB ialah Leftenan Kolonel Ghazali dan Leftenan Madya Azli Azhar, TLDB.
