AQABA, JORDAN, Monday, 31 October 2022 – Yang Mulia Brigadier General (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Joint Force Commander (JFC), Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and his entourage attended the 13th Edition of the Special Operation Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) from 31 October 2022 to 3 November 2022 in Aqaba, Jordan.
SOFEX 2022, inaugurated by His Majesty King Abdullah II, King of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan as Supreme Commander of the Jordanian Armed Forces. It incorporated the Middle East Special Operations Commanders Conference that discussed various topics related to the role of Special Forces and its Operations Demonstration as well as Capability Exhibition participated by 38 countries and more than 300 defence equipment manufacturing companies.
The JFC RBAF also paid a courtesy call to Major General Yousef Huneiti, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff for SOFEX 2022 where they discussed efforts to enhance defence cooperation between the two armed forces, especially between Special Forces. The JFC RBAF and his entourage also visited the King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) and the 71st Special Operation Battalion (Counter Terrorism) in Amman, Jordan to take a closer look at the capabilities of Special Forces operations and training in Jordan.
PEMERINTAH ANGKATAN BERSAMA, ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGHADIRI SPECIAL OPERATION FORCES EXHIBITION AND CONFERENCE (SOFEX) EDISI KE-13
AQABA, JORDAN, Isnin, 31 Oktober 2022 – Yang Mulia Brigedier Jeneral (U) Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Pemerintah Markas Angkatan Bersama (MAB), Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) bersama rombongan telah menghadiri Special Operation Forces Exhibition and Conference (SOFEX) Edisi Ke-13 dari 31 Oktober hingga 03 November 2022 di Aqaba, Jordan.
SOFEX 2022 telah dirasmikan oleh Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Raja Abdullah II, Raja Kerajaan Hasyimiah Jordan selaku Panglima Tertinggi Angkatan Bersenjata Jordan. Ianya merangkumi acara Middle East Special Operations Commanders Conference yang membincangkan pelbagai topik berkaitan peranan pasukan khas, Demonstrasi Operasi Pasukan Khas dan Pameran Keupayaan Pasukan Khas yang disertai oleh 38 buah negara dan lebih 300 buah syarikat peralatan pertahanan.
Yang Mulia Pemerintah MAB ABDB juga telah membuat kunjungan hormat kepada Mejar Jeneral Yousef Huneiti, Pengerusi Ketua Staf Bersama bagi SOFEX 2022 di mana mereka membincangkan usaha bagi meningkatkan kerjasama pertahanan kedua angkatan bersenjata khususnya di antara pasukan khas. Beliau bersama rombongan turut membuat lawatan kepada King Abdullah II Special Operations Training Center (KASOTC) dan 71st Special Operation Battalion (Counter Terrorism) di Amman, Jordan, untuk melihat keupayaan operasi dan latihan pasukan khas di Jordan dengan lebih dekat.
