BERAKAS GARRISON, Saturday, 29 February 2020 – The Clash of the Champions Trophy and National Day Trophy were combined and held at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Golf Club, Berakas Garrison.
A total of 44 players participated, 32 players for Clash of the Champion Trohpy and 44 players for National Day Trophy. Categories contested under Clash of the Champion Trophy were Overall Gross & Nett, Top 3 Gross & Nett and same goes to National Day trophy. Novelties category were combined for both trophies. In conjunction with the golf events, other categories that were contested were VIP Overall Nett and VIP Overall Gross.
For the VIP categories, the winner for Overall Nett was Colonel Teo Joon Hua Desmond, Defence Attache Republic of Singapore and the winner for Overall Gross was Colonel Kamarudzaman bin Mohd Thani, Defence Attache Malaysia.
WO2 (Rtd) Haji Kuswadi emerged as champion for Overall Gross Category for both trophies the Clash of the Champions Trophy and National Day Trophy. Meanwhile WO2 Basudey Rai emerged as Champion for Overall Nett Clash of the Champion Trophy and Lt Col Abd Rajid emerged as Champion for Overall Nett National Day Trophy champion
Among those who participated in the event were the Second Minister of Defence, Commander of Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Services Commanders and special guests consisting of Defences Attaches from Republic of Philippine, Malaysia, Republic of Indonesia and Republic of Singapore.
Clash of the Champions Trophy is an annual competition event, gathering Champions who competed from previous RBAF Golf Course prestigious golf competition. While National Day trophy is an annual competition event that is only open for members, and marked as a celebratory activities in conjunction with 36th National Day.
PERLAWANAN GOLF PIALA CLASH OF THE CHAMPION DAN PIALA HARI KEBANGSAAN YANG KE 36 TAHUN
BERAKAS GARISON – Sabtu, 29 Febuari 2020 – Acara Perlawanan Golf Piala Clash of the Champion dan Piala Hari Kebangsaan telah diadakan secara serentak di Kelab Golf Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Berakas Garison.
Seramai 44 pemain mengambil bahagian di dalam perlawanan iaitu 32 pemain menyertai Piala Clash of the Champion dan 44 pemain menyertai Piala Hari Kebangsaan. Kategori yang dipertandingkan bagi Piala Clash of the Champion adalah Gross dan Nett Keseluruhan dan Top 3 Gross dan Nett. Kategori yang dipertandingan bagi Piala Hari Kebangsaan adalah sama seperti Piala Clash of the Champion. Kategori Novelties telah digabungkan bagi kedua – dua perlawanan. Ianya juga diteruskan dengan mempertandingkan VIP Gross Keseluruhan dan VIP Nett Keseluruhan.
Bagi Kategori VIP, Pemenang bagi Keseluruhan Nett disandang oleh Kolonel Teo Joon Hua Desmond, Atase Pertahanan Republik Singapura dan pemenang keseluruhan Gross disandang oleh Kolonel Kamarudzaman bin Mohd Thani, Atase Pertahanan Malaysia.
PW2 (B) Haji Kuswadi telah menjuarai keseluruhan kategori Gross bagi kedua – dua piala the Clash of the Champions Trophy dan National Day Trophy. Manakala pemenang keseluruhan Nett Clash of the Champion Trophy disandang oleh WO2 Basudey Rai and Keseluruhan Nett National Day Trophy champion disandang oleh Lt Kol Abd Rajid.
Antara yang mengambil bahagian di dalam perlawanan tersebut adalah Menteri Pertahanan Kedua Kementerian Pertahanan, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei, Pemerintah-pemerintah angkatan tentera dan Tetamu-Tetamu undangan khas daripada atase pertahanan Republik Filipina, Republik Indonesia, Republik Singapura dan Malaysia.
Acara ini merupakan aktiviti tahunan yang melibatkan bekas pemenang-pemenang perlawanan golf di Kelab Golf ABDB sebelumnya. Manakala Piala Hari Kebangsaan juga merupakan aktiviti tahunan yang hanya melibatkan Ahli – Ahli yang berdaftar di Kelab Golf ABDB sebagai meraikan Hari Kebangsaan yang ke 36.
