BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Monday 2 Dec 2013 – His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam, the Minister of Defence, Supreme Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces and the Inspector General of Police, yesterday granted an audience to Malaysian Armed Forces Chief Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Zulkifli Mohd Zin and Malaysian Inspector General of Police Tan Sri Dato’ Sri Khalid Abu Bakar.
Also in attendance were Royal Brunei Armed Forces Commander, Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin; Police Commissioner, Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Bahrin bin Mohd Noor; Permanent Secretary at the Prime Minister’s Office, Dato Paduka Haji Hamdan bin Haji Abu Bakar; and Permanent Secretary (Defence Policy and Development) at the Ministry of Defence, Colonel (Rtd) Pengiran Dato Paduka Haji Azmansham bin Pengiran Haji Mohamad.
On a separate occasion, Her Majesty Raja Isteri Pengiran Anak Hajah Saleha binti Al-Marhum Pengiran Pemancha Pengiran Anak Haji Mohamed Alam also consented to receive in audience the spouse of the Malaysian Armed Forces Chief, Puan Sri Datin Sri Umi Kalsom Wan Awang. She was accompanied by the wife of Deputy Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Datin Zulia Basman.
The audience ceremony took place at the Istana Nurul Iman.
