BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 20 February 2019 – The Second Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof, this afternoon received an introductory call from His Excellency Salah Mubarak Musleh Al-Mutairi, the Ambassador of Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the State of Kuwait to Brunei Darussalam.
During the call, the Second Minister of Defence took the opportunity to congratulate His Excellency for his new appointment as the new Ambassador of Kuwait to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides also reaffirmed to strengthen the bilateral defence relations between Brunei Darussalam and the State of Kuwait.
Diplomatic relations between Brunei Darussalam and the State of Kuwait were established on 1 May 1990. His Excellency presented his Letter of Credence to His Majesty the Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Brunei Darussalam on 5 February 2019.
MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA MENERIMA KUNJUNGAN PENGENALAN DARIPADA DUTA BESAR ISTIMEWA DAN MUTLAK KUWAIT KE NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM
BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 20 Februari 2019 – Menteri Pertahanan Kedua, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd Yussof pada petang ini telah menerima kunjungan pengenalan daripada Tuan Yang Terutama Salah Mubarak Musleh Al-Mutairi, Duta Besar Istimewa dan Mutlak Kuwait ke Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Semasa kunjungan tersebut, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua telah mengambil kesempatan untuk mengucapkan tahniah kepada Tuan Yang Terutama ke atas perlantikannya sebagai Duta Besar Kuwait yang baru ke Negara Brunei Darussalam. Kedua-dua pihak juga mengesahkan bahawa Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kuwait akan terus memperkuatkan lagi hubungan pertahanan dua hala di antara kedua-dua buah negara.
Hubungan diplomatik di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kuwait telah ditubuhkan pada 1 Mei 1990. Tuan yang Terutama Salah Mubarak Musleh Al-Mutairi telah menyerahkan Surat Lantikan ke hadapan majlis Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam pada 5 Februari 2019.
