GADONG, Wednesday, 4 December 2019 – The Socialist Republic of Vietnam Embassy in Brunei Darussalam hosted a reception at the Rizqun International Hotel to celebrate the 75th Anniversary of The Founding of The Vietnamese People’s Army (VPA) tonight. The Anniversary generally falls on 22 December annually.
The event brought together guests from the government agencies, representatives from embassies and defence representatives from diplomatic missions in Brunei Darussalam.
Present as the guest of honour was Second Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof and his spouse, Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili. The arrival of Yang Berhormat Pehin to the reception was welcomed by His Excellency Do Tuan Anh, Ambassador of the Socialist Republic of Vietnam and spouse.
Over the years, defence cooperation between Brunei Darussalam and Vietnam has been growing steadily, through interactions and activities such as exchange of visits by both side’s defence and military officials, regional military exercises, military and defence related regional meetings, workshops, trainings and courses.
MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA DI MAJLIS RESEPSI ULANG TAHUN KE-75 PENUBUHAN TENTERA RAKYAT VIETNAM
GADONG, Rabu, 4 Disember 2019 – Kedutaan Besar Republik Sosialis Vietnam di Negara Brunei Darussalam telah mengadakan majlis resepsi di Rizqun International Hotel untuk menyambut Hari Ulang Tahun Ke-75 Penubuhan Tentera Rakyat Vietnam. Hari Ulang Tahun ini secara umumnya disambut pada 22 Disember setiap tahun.
Disambut pada setiap 22 Disember, majlis resepsi ini dihadiri oleh tetamu-tetamu dari agensi kerajaan, utusan dan perwakilan pertahanan dari misi diplomatik di Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Menteri Pertahanan Kedua, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof dan isteri, Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili. Kehadiran Menteri Pertahanan Kedua telah dialu-alukan oleh Duta Besar Istimewa dan Mutlak, Tuan Yang Terutama Do Anh Tuan dan isteri.
Kerjasama pertahanan antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Vietnam telah berkembang, terutamanya melalui interaksi dan kegiatan seperti pertukaran kunjungan oleh kedua-dua pihak pertahanan dan pegawai tentera, latihan ketenteraan, mesyuarat serantau, woksyop, latihan dan kursus.
