BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 5 December 2019 – The Embassy of the Kingdom of Thailand in Brunei Darussalam hosted a dinner reception to celebrate the Birthday Anniversary of His Majesty King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great, National Day of the Kingdom of Thailand and Thailand’s Father’s Day at the Indera Samudera Grand Hall, the Empire Brunei this evening.
Present as the guest of honour was Second Minister of Defence, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof and his spouse, Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili. The arrival of Yang Berhormat Pehin to the reception was welcomed by Her Excellency Wanthanee Viputwongsakul, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Thailand.
The dinner event brought together guests and representatives from other government agencies, embassies and defence representatives from diplomatic missions in Brunei Darussalam.
The close and longstanding defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and Thailand has been progressing steadily over the years, spanning across a wide range of interactions such as exercises, visits, courses and other professional exchanges. These interactions have strengthened the mutual understanding and cooperation among the defence officials and armed forces of both countries across all levels.
MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA DI MAJLIS RESEPSI ULANGTAHUN RAJA THAILAND, HARI KEBANGSAAN DAN HARI BAPA THAILAND
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis, 5 Disember 2019 – Kedutaan Kerajaan Thailand di Brunei Darussalam telah menganjurkan majlis makan malam untuk meraikan Hari Ulang Tahun Raja Thailand King Bhumibol Adulyadej the Great dan seterusnya meraikan Hari Kebangsaan Kerajaan Thailand dan Hari Bapa Thailand di Dewan Besar Indera Samudera, Empire Brunei pada malam ini.
Hadir selaku tetatu kehormat majlis ialah Menteri Pertahanan Kedua, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof dan isteri, Datin Hajah Kalshom binti Haji Suhaili. Kehadiran Menteri Pertahanan Kedua telah dialu-alukan oleh Puan Yang Terutama Wanthanee Viputsongkol, Duta Besar dan Mutlak Kerajaan Thailand.
Acara resepsi tersebut juga dihadiri oleh tetamu dan wakil dari agensi kerajaan, kedutaan dan wakil pertahanan lain dari misi diplomatik di Negara Brunei Darussalam.
Hubungan pertahanan rapat dan kian lama terjalin di antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Kerajaan Thailand semakin meningkat sejak kebelakangan ini, yang mana merangkumi pelbagai interaksi seperti latihan, lawatan, kursus dan pertukaran profesional lain. Interaksi-interaksi berkenaan telah memperkuat persefahaman dan kerjasama antara pegawai-pegawai pertahanan dan angkatan tentera kedua-dua negara di semua peringkat.
