BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 27 September 2018 – The Embassy of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam hosted a reception for Korea’s National Foundation Day last night at the Empire Hotel & Country Club this Wednesday evening.
Her Excellency Yoon Hyun Bong, the Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Brunei Darussalam received the arrival of the Guest of Honour, Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Datin.
The reception lauded the growth of the bilateral ties between Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Korea in various scopes such as economic and cultural exchanges, education, connectivity, and many more. Within the defence arena, both countries recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding on Defence Cooperation on 13 September 2018 on the sidelines of the 7th Seoul Defense Dialogue 2018.
The reception witnessed a cake-cutting ceremony by the Guest of Honour and his spouse, with Her Excellency Yoon Hyun Bong.
MENTERI PERTAHANAN KEDUA HADIRI MAJLIS RESEPSI KOREA’S NATIONAL FOUNDATION DAY
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis, 27 September 2018 – Kedutaan Besar Republik Korea ke Negara Brunei Darussalam telah menganjurkan satu majlis resepsi untuk menyambut Korea’s National Foundation Day di Empire Hotel & Country Club.
Puan Yang Terutama Yoon Hyun Bong, Duta Besar Republik Korea ke Negara Brunei Darussalam mengalu-alukan kedatangan Tetamu Kehormat pada majlis berkenaan iaitu Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua dan Datin.
Resepsi itu meraikan perkembangan hubungan dua hala antara Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Republik Korea dalam pelbagai bidang seperti pertukaran ekonomi dan budaya, pendidikan, kesalinghubungan dan sebagainya. Dalam bidang pertahanan, kedua-dua negara baru-baru ini menandatangani Memorandum Persefahaman mengenai Kerjasama Pertahanan pada 13 September 2018 di samping Seoul Defense Dialogue ke-7 pada tahun ini.
Majlis ini juga menyaksikan upacara pemotongan kek oleh Tetamu Kehormat dan isterinya, dengan Puan Yang Terutama Yoon Hyun Bong.
