MUARA, Friday 28 December 2012 – A personnel from the Royal Brunei Navy (RBN) personnel 21525 Sld Ermah bte Eja’an from the Logistics Department of the RBN and her sister Erzarinah bte Eja’an had converted to Islam in a ceremony held at the RBN Surau in Muara Naval Base.
Present as Guest Of Honour was the Acting Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) YDM Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah.
Also present was the Acting Commander RBN, Colonel (L) Pengiran Norazmi bin Pengiran Muhammad, Senior Officers and Officers from the RBN, Female Officers of the RBAF, female Senior Non-Commisioned Officers (SNCOs) and NCOs of the RBAF, representatives from the Islamic Da’wah Centre and the Jefri Bolkiah College of Engineering, Village Head of Kampong Bukit and family of Sld Ermah bte Eja’an.
The declaration of oath of faith by Sld Ermah and her sister by Ustazah Hjh Wadinanty binti Abdullah from the Islamic Da’wah Centre. The ceremony was further highlighted with the chanting of the Takbir and the recital of the Dikir Marhaban which was followed by a presentation of gifts to the newly converted by the Acting Commander RBAF. The ceremony concluded with a closing prayer Cpt Ariffin bin Amit, Assistant Head of the Religious Department RBAF.
The newly converts, Sld Ermah bte Eja’an chose the name Nur Syahmah Mardziah bte Abdullah whereas her sister Erzarinah bte Eja’an chose the name Nur Syahrinah Mardziah bte Abdullah.
