HONOLULU, HAWAII, USA Thursday, 23 May 2019 – Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, the Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) attended the Land Forces of the Pacific (LANPAC) Symposium and Exposition 2019 which took place from 21 to 23 May 2019 in Honolulu, Hawaii.
With the theme “A Free and Open Indo-Pacific: Innovative and Agile Land Forces”, LANPAC 2019 brought together the land force commanders within the Indo-Asia-Pacific region to discuss critical topics including those affecting security and cooperation across the Pacific and the readiness of Land Forces. This year’s LANPAC was attended by 26 countries and was officially launched by General Robert B. Brown, the Commanding General of the United States Army Pacific (USARPAC).
During the symposium, RBLF Commander also held bilateral meetings with his counterparts to discuss on future initiatives to further strengthen the cooperation and friendship between the land forces of the respective countries in general.
LANPAC Symposium and Exposition is an international event hosted annually by the Association of the United States Army (AUSA). It is a significant platform in highlighting the role of land forces in the Indo-Pacific theatre and their contributions to the joint force in peace and war.
PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI MENGHADIRI 2019 LAND FORCE OF THE PACIFIC (LANPAC) SYMPOSIUM AND EXPOSITION
HONOLULU, HAWAII, USA Khamis, 23 Mei 2019 – Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah menghadiri Simposium dan Pameran Tentera Darat Pasifik 2019 bermula dari 21 Mei hingga 23 Mei 2019 di Honolulu, Hawaii.
Bertemakan“A Free and Open Indo-Pacific: Innovative and Agile Land Forces”, LANPAC 2019 membawa pemerintah-pemerintah tentera darat dari rantau Indo-Asia-Pasifik untuk sama-sama membincangkan mengenai isu-isu berkaitan dengan keselamatan dan kerjasama serta kesediaan tentera-tentera darat di Pasifik. Tahun ini LANPAC 2019 telah dihadiri oleh 26 negara dan acara tersebut telah dirasmikan oleh Jeneral Robert B. Brown, Commanding General of the US Army Pacific (USARPAC).
Semasa menghadiri persidangan tersebut, Pemerintah TDDB juga mengadakan perjumpaan dua hala bersama beberapa Pemerintah-Pemerintah Tentera Darat negara-negara sahabat untuk membincangkan inisiatif-inisiatif masa hadapan bagi mengukuhkan lagi hubungan pertahanan dan jalinan persahabatan di antara tentera darat dari negara-negara itu secara amnya.
Simposium dan Pameran Tentera Darat Pasifik adalah merupakan salah satu acara antarabangsa yang dikendalikan oleh Persatuan Tentera Darat Amerika Syarikat pada setiap tahun. Ianya juga merupakan landasan penting dalam menonjolkan peranan angkatan darat di teater Indo-Pasifik, serta sumbangan mereka kepada angkatan bersama semasa aman dan perang.
