REPUBLIC OF SINGAPORE, Wednesday, 4 December 2019 – Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) was conferred Singapore’s Prestigious Military Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (Military) by President Halimah Yacob, President of the Republic of Singapore. The Minister for Defence of the Republic of Singapore, Dr. Ng Eng Hen, presented the award to the RBLF Commander at an investiture held at the Ministry of Defence, Republic of Singapore.
The RBLF Commander received the award for his role in enhancing the defence relations between RBLF and the Singapore Army. Under his leadership, the bilateral military cooperation between both armed forces has strengthened through various bilateral interactions such as official visits, staff talks, exercises and courses which has further enhanced the professional development of personnel from both armed forces.
The bilateral exercises, Exercise Maju Bersama and Exercise Rintis Bersama, continue to underpin the long-standing defence relationship between both armies.
Prior to the investiture ceremony, the RBLF Commander made courtesy calls to Dr. Ng Eng Hen and Major General Goh Si Hou, Chief of Army, Singapore Army.
PEMERINTAH TENTERA DARAT DIRAJA BRUNEI DIKURNIAKAN PINGAT JASA GEMILANG (TENTERA) DARI REPUBLIK SINGAPURA
REPUBLIK SINGAPURA, Rabu, 4 Disember 2019 – Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Awang Khairul Hamed bin Awang Haji Lampoh, Pemerintah Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) telah dikurniakan Pingat Jasa Gemilang (Tentera) oleh Presiden Halimah Yacob, Presiden Republik Singapura. Dr. Ng Eng Hen, Menteri Pertahanan Republik Singapura menyampaikan pingat tersebut kepada Pemerintah TDDB di Kementerian Pertahanan, Republik Singapura.
Pemerintah TDDB telah memainkan peranan penting dalam meningkatkan hubungan pertahanan di antara TDDB dan Tentera Darat Republik Singapura. Di bawah kepimpinan beliau, kerjasama ketenteraan dua hala di antara kedua buah angkatan tentera kini semakin kukuh melalui pelbagai interaksi dua hala seperti lawatan rasmi, eksesais dan kursus yang mana telah meningkatkan lagi pembangunan profesional anggota-anggota dari kedua angkatan tentera.
Latihan Dua Hala seperti Eksesais Maju Bersama dan Eksesais Rintis Bersama memberi peluang kepada kedua belah angkatan tentera untuk meningkatkan kerjasama dalam memantapkan hubungan ketenteraan yang sudah lama terjalin.
Sebelum majlis pengurniaan, Pemerintah TDDB telah mengadakan kunjungan hormat kepada Dr. Ng Eng Hen dan Mejar Jeneral Goh Si Hou, Panglima Tentera Darat Republik Singapura.
