BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Friday, 31 December 2021 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) have successfully conducted cleaning campaigns at sixty (60) mosques spanned across four districts in the country as part of the RBAF Diamond Jubilee community outreach activities.
Prior to the second wave of COVID-19 in the country, RBAF was able to reach out and conduct cleaning campaigns in twenty-one (21) mosques. However, the community outreach initiatives on hold when the second wave hits. The RBAF has then taken the opportunity to continue its support during the transition phase by providing its support with the reopening of mosques by completing its cleaning campaigns in the remaining thirty-nine (39) mosques throughout four districts by the end of year 2021, in accordance with the COVID-19 guidelines set by the Ministry of Health.
The RBAF Diamond Jubilee mosque cleaning campaigns were carried out from June 2021 to December 2021 and included thirty-six (36) mosques in Brunei-Muara District, twelve (12) mosques in Tutong District, six (6) mosques in Belait District, and six (6) mosques in Temburong District.
Apart from supporting the reopening of mosques across the country, the campaign also intends to strengthen friendships between the RBAF and the community as well as to promote environmental cleanliness as demanded by Islam, particularly in places of worship.

ANGKATAN BERSENJATA DIRAJA BRUNEI (ABDB) TELAH MELAKSANAKAN KEMPEN KEBERSIHAN DI ENAM PULUH BUAH MASJID SEMPENA SAMBUTAN JUBLI INTAN ABDB
BRUNEI DARUSSALAM, Juma’at, 31 Disember 2021 – Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah berjaya melaksanakan Kempen Kebersihan di enam puluh (60) buah masjid di keempat-empat daerah di seluruh negara sebagai sebahagian daripada aktiviti kemasyarakatan Sambutan Jubli Intan ABDB.
Sebelum gelombang kedua COVID-19 melanda negara ini, ABDB telah mengendalikan kempen kebersihan ke atas dua puluh satu (21) masjid. Walau bagaimanapun, gelombang kedua telah menghentikan aktiviti kemasyarakatan tersebut buat sementara waktu. Sejak Fasa Peralihan, ABDB telah mengambil peluang untuk meneruskan sokongannya semasa Fasa Peralihan dengan menyambung kembali usaha mereka untuk membersihkan tiga puluh sembilan (39) masjid di keempat-empat daerah sehingga hujung tahun 2021, dengan mengikuti panduan COVID-19 yang ditetapkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan.
Kempen membersihkan masjid sempena Jubli Intan ABDB ini telah dilaksanakan sejak bulan Jun hingga Disember 2021 dan merangkumi sebanyak tiga puluh enam (36) buah masjid di Daerah Brunei-Muara, dua belas (12) buah masjid di Daerah Tutong, enam (6) buah masjid di Daerah Belait, dan enam (6) buah masjid di Daerah Temburong.
Selain dari menyokong pembukaan balik masjid-masjid di seluruh negara, kempen ini juga bertujuan untuk meningkatkan silaturrahim di antara ABDB dan masyarakat, di samping mempromosikan kebersihan persekitaran seperti yang dituntut oleh Islam, terutamanya di balai-balai ibadah.
