RIMBA, Friday, 2 August 2019 – An officer from the Support Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) Lieutenant Susie bin Riden recited her Islamic oath at her families’ residence in Kampong Rimba.
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF). Also present were RBAF Services Commanders, Brunei-Muara District Officer; Director of the Islamic Da’wah Centre, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre, as well as family members.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) by Leiutenant Susie bin Riden, led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre. The event was further celebrated with the Dikir Marhaban as well as the sprinkling of ‘bunga rampai’, followed by presentation of gifts by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
Lieutenant Susie bin Riden is the fourth RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 123rd since 2006.
PEGAWAI TDDB MEMELUK AGAMA ISLAM
RIMBA, Jumaat, 2 Ogos 2019 – Seorang Pegawai dari Batalion Bantu Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Leftenan Susie bin Riden telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis pengislaman tersebut diadakan di Kampong Rimba.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB). Turut hadir ialah Pemerintah-Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pegawai Daerah Brunei-Muara; Pengarah Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Da’wah Islamiah, serta ahli keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Leftenan Susi bin Riden, yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah. Majlis diserikan dengan laungan Dikir Marhaban dan penyampaian cenderahati daripada Tetamu Kehormat serta jemputan yang hadir.
Leftenan Susie bin Riden merupakan anggota ABDB yang keempat yang memeluk agama Islam bagi tahun ini dan yang ke-123 sejak tahun 2006.
