TUTONG, Friday, 1 December 2017 – An officer from the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF), Lieutenant Shazeerah binte Radinkanoro from the Support Battalion RBLF, recited her Islamic oath at her families’ Residence, Kg Luagan Dudok, Tutong, today.
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
Also present were Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, Member of the Legislative Council, Awang Haji Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Tutong District Officer, Commander of the RBLF, officers from the RBAF and the Islamic Da’wah Centre as well as families.
The ceremony began with the recital of verses from the Al-Qur’an and the declaration of Syahadah (declaration of faith) led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
Subsequently, the Dikir Marhaban as well as the sprinkling of bunga rampai and gift presentation were given by the Guest of Honour, invited guests and families.
Lt Shazeerah binte Radinkanoro is the fourth RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year and the 109th since 2006.
MAJLIS PENGISLAMAN BAGI SEORANG PEGAWAI TDDB
TUTONG, Jumaat, 1 Disember 2017 – Seorang pegawai Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Leftenan Shazeerah binte Radinkanoro dari Batalion Bantu TDDB telah memeluk agama Islam sebagai agama baru beliau. Majlis pengislaman tersebut diadakan di rumah ahli keluarga beliau di Kg Luagan Dudok, Tutong.
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat pada majlis tersebut ialah Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei.
Turut hadir ialah Yang Berhormat Awang Haji Umarali bin Esong, Ahli Majlis Mesyuarat Negara, Awang Haji Shamsul Bahrin bin Haji Mohd Hussain, Pegawai Daerah Tutong, Pemerintah TDDB, pegawai-pegawai ABDB dan Pusat Dakwah Islamiyyah serta keluarga.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran, diikuti dengan lafaz syahadah oleh Lt Shazeerah yang dipimpin oleh pegawai dari Unit Pengislaman dan Bimbingan Saudara Baru, Pusat Dakwah Islamiah.
Majlis diserikan lagi dengan laungan dikir marhaban dan taburan bunga rampai serta penyampaian cendehati daripada Yang Dimuliakan Tetamu Kehormat serta jemputan yang hadir kepada saudara baru.
Lt Shazeerah binte Radinkanoro, merupakan anggota ABDB yang ke-empat memeluk Islam bagi tahun ini dan yang ke-109 sejak tahun 2006.
