BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday 20 April 2016 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Badminton Tournament for 2016 concluded today at the Ministry of Defence Sports Complex in Bolkiah Garrison.
The tournament, which commenced on 18 April, was participated by five teams comprising of Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF), Royal Brunei Navy (RBN), Royal Brunei Air Force (RBAirF), Training Institute RBAF (TI RBAF) and the Ministry of Defence (MinDef).
The RBLF emerged as the champion after defeating RBAirF in the final match with a result of 3-2. Whereas, MinDef won the third place. Prizes were presented by the Acting Commander of RBAF, First Admiral Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad.
The tournament is an annual RBAF programme aim to promote healthy competition and to strengthen the bonds amongst the players from various units.
