HASSANAL BOLKIAH NATIONAL STADIUM, Wednesday 11 February 2015 – The Royal Brunei Navy hockey team showcased a remarkable game in the RBAF Hockey Championship Final this afternoon despite losing to the Royal Brunei Land Force Hockey Team with the score-line 2 – 0.
The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) Hockey Championships held at the National Hockey Stadium Complex Hassanal Bolkiah, Berakas with Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Wardi bin Haji Abdul Latif, Commander of the Royal Brunei Airforce, as the guest of honour for the event.
Also present at the finals were Services Commanders, Commandants, Directors, Senior Officers, Officers and Personnel of RBAF.
In the 3rd place was Royal Brunei Air Force followed by Training Institute RBAF at the 4th place, whilst in the 5th place Ministry Of Defence hockey team.
Hockey is a fast-paced sport that challenges physical and mental as well as putting each team’s strategic and communication skills to a test. Hence, the RBAF hockey championship is a competition, which aims to strengthen the comradeship among players while at the same time to showcase the most potential players towards representing the Ministry of Defence and RBAF to compete in the national and regional arena.
