PENANJONG GARRISON, Friday, 24 November 2017 – The Support Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) today concluded a bilateral exercise codenamed Exercise Rintis Bersama with the 30 Singapore Combat Engineer (30 SCE), Singapore Army that began on 15 November 2017.
The closing ceremony was held at the Support Battalion Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF) in Penanjong Garrison. Present as the Guest of Honour were Colonel Ong Yoke Lam Melvin, Chief of Engineer Singapore Army and Lieutenant Colonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Chief of Staff of the Royal Brunei Land Force.
This year’s Rintis Bersama Exercise saw to the participation of the Chemical, Biological, Radiological and Explosive Defence Unit (CBRE) and Combat Engineer Squadron (CES) of the Support Battalion RBLF. In addition to the exercise, the participants from Brunei Darussalam and Singapore successfully conducted a community service project under the “Titian Amal Project” held at Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (KACA) in Tutong District, led by Major Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli, who was the organiser for Rintis Bersama Exercise 2017.
This Exercise presents a valuable platform for both armed forces to strengthen their close working relationship and to enhance interoperability through sharing of experiences and knowledge. In addition, the opportunity to work together will continue to deepen the warm and longstanding relationship between both armies.
UPACARA PENUTUP EKSESAIS RINTIS BERSAMA 17/2017
PENANJONG GARISON, Jumaat, 24 November 2017 – Batalion Bantu Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei dan 30 Singapore Combat Engineer (30 SCE) Singapore Army hari ini telah menamatkan eksesais dua hala iaitu Eksesais Rintis Bersama yang telah dilancarkan pada 15 November 2017.
Upacara Penutup Eksesais Rintis Bersama 10/2017 telah diadakan di Padang Kawad Batalion Bantu, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB), Penanjong Garison. Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat ialah Kolonel Ong Yoke Lam Melvin, Chief of Engineer, Singapore Armed Forces dan Leftenan Kolonel Khairil bin Haji Ismail, Ketua Staf TDDB.
Eksesais Rintis Bersama pada tahun ini telah melibatkan penyertaan dari Skuadron Jurutera Tempur (SJT) dan Unit Pertahanan Kimia Biologi Radiologi dan Letupan, Batalion Bantu, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei. Sempena latihan tersebut, peserta-peserta dari Negara Brunei Darussalam dan Singapura juga berjaya melaksanakan Projek Titian Amal di Persatuan Kanak-Kanak Cacat (KACA) Daerah Tutong, yang diketuai oleh Mejar Faizal Azly bin Haji Rosli selaku Pegawai Pengerusi Eksesais Rintis Bersama 2017.
Eksesais ini adalah satu landasan bagi anggota daripada kedua belah pihak dalam mengukuhkan persahabatan dan meningkatkan tahap interoperabiliti melalui perkongsian pengalaman dan pengetahuan. Tambahan pula, peluang untuk bekerjasama akan terus memperdalam dan mengeratkan lagi keakraban di antara kedua belah Tentera Darat yang sudah sekian lama terjalin.
