BOLKIAH GARISON, Friday, 2 October 2020 – A handover and takeover ceremony for the appointment of Sergeant Major (SM) of Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) between Warrant Officer 1 (WO1) Awang Rashid bin Haji Abd Rahman and the new RBAF SM, WO1 (U) Muhd Syahiran bin Haji Abu Bakar took place at the Multipurpose Hall, Bolkiah Garrison today.
As the 13th Sergeant Major of RBAF, WO1 Awang Rashid delivered his final speech where he expressed his appreciation to all members of the RBAF, for all their support and cooperation throughout his service.
Marking the new duty placement, the new Sergeant Major of RBAF, WO1 (U) Muhd Syahiran delivered his speech as the 14th Sergeant Major of RBAF. In his speech, he emphasized the importance of honesty and integrity to uphold their duties and loyalty to
the beloved monarch, religion and country.
A signing ceremony of the Handing Over Certificate was then held to mark the official handover of the RBAF
Sergeant Major’s duty and concluded with a doa selamat read by
WO1 Sofian bin Niman, SM JAMA’AT.
Prior to today’s event, a ceremony for the presentation of the Badge, Sam Browne Belt and RBAF SM Pace Stick, was held at the Warrant Officer and Senior Non- Commissioned Officer Mess in Bolkiah Garrison yesterday. The event was officiated by Colonel (U) Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Director of Personnel, Ministry of Defence.
UPACARA MENYERAHKAN TUGAS SARJAN MEJAR ABDB
BOLKIAH GARISON, Jumaat, 2 Oktober 2 – Upacara Majlis Serah Terima Tugas Jawatan Sarjan Mejar (SM) Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei di antara Pegawai Waran 1 (PW1) Awang Rashid bin Haji Abd Rahman dan SM ABDB yang baru, PW1 (U) Muhd Syahiran bin Haji Abu Bakar telah berlangsung di Dewan Serbaguna Baru, Bolkiah Garison hari ini.
Sebagai SM ABDB ke-13, PW1 Awang Rashid telah menyampaikan ucapannya dimana beliau merakamkan setinggi-tinggi penghargaan kepada seluruh warga ABDB atas segala sokongan dan kerjasama di sepanjang perkhidmatan beliau.
Bagi menandakan penerimaan jawatan SM ABDB yang baru, PW1 (U) Muhd Syahiran
kemudian menyampaikan ucapan beliau sebagai SM ABDB yang ke-14, di mana beliau menekankan mengenai mustahaknya menjalankan tugas dengan amanah serta mentaati Raja, Agama dan Negara.
Majlis diteruskan dengan Upacara Menandatangani Sijil Serah Terima Tugas Jawatan SM ABDB dan diakhiri dengan doa selamat yang dibacakan oleh PW1 Sofian bin Niman, SM JAMA’AT.
Sebelum acara hari ini, upacara penyampaian Lencana,
Sam Browne Belt dan Tongkat Penyukat SM ABDB telah diadakan di Mes Pegawai Waran dan Pegawai Tidak Bertauliah (PTB) Kanan di Bolkiah Garison kelmarin, Upacara itu telah disempurnakan oleh Kolonel (U) Haji Alirupendi bin Haji Perudin, Pengarah Keanggotaan, Kementerian Pertahanan.
