BRUNEI MUARA, Friday 27 May 2022 – A Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) personnel Private Jessicca binti Maripa from the Manning and Record Department at the Directorate of Personnel, Ministry of Defence, recited her Islamic oath at RPN Kampong Meragang, Brunei Muara, today.
Present at the ceremony as Guest of Honour was Major General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commander of the RBAF. Also present were RBAF officers, officers from the Islamic Da’wah Centre and family members of the new convert.
The ceremony started with the recitation of Al-Quran verses followed by the declaration of
Syahadah (declaration of faith) led by an officer from the Islamic Da’wah Centre.
The ceremony was then followed by
Dikir Marhaban and presentation of memento from the Guest of Honour to the new convert and concluded with a
Doa Selamat and refreshments.
Private Jessicca binti Maripa, now known as Naira Jasmeen binti Abdullah Maripa, is the
second RBAF personnel to convert to Islam this year.
ANGGOTA ABDB MEMELUK ISLAM
BRUNEI MUARA, Jumaat 27 Mei 2022 – Seorang anggota Askar Wanita Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB), Soldadu Jessicca binti Maripa dari Pejabat Tenaga dan Rekod, Jabatanarah Keanggotaan, Kementerian Pertahanan, telah memgucapkan Syahadah di RPN Kampong Meragang, Brunei Muara hari ini.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Mejar Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Pemerintah ABDB. Turut hadir ialah pegawai-pegawai ABDB, pegawai-pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah serta ahli keluarga beliau.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan ayat-ayat suci Al-Quran diikuti dengan lafaz Syahadah, yang dikendalikan oleh pegawai dari Pusat Da’wah Islamiah. Majlis kemudian diserikan dengan Dikir Marhaban dan penyampaian cenderahati kenang-kenangan daripada Pemerintah ABDB kepada saudara baru tersebut. Majlis diakhiri dengan bacaan doa selamat serta jamuan petang.
Soldadu Jessicca binti Maripa, kini dikenali sebagai Naira Jasmeen binti Abdullah Maripa, merupakan anggota ABDB yang
kedua memeluk Islam pada tahun ini.
