LUMAPAS, Tuesday 12 April 2011 – Three more wheelchairs were successfully donated this afternoon by the Royal Brunei Armed Forces(RBAF) and the Ex-Army Association to three ex-military personnel. Donations of wheelchairs were presented separately at the residents of the respective recipients in Kampong Lumapas.
The first recipient was 3299 Sgt (R) Haji Merussin Bin Ahmad. He suffered a stroke leaving the left side of his body non-functional. The wheelchair was presented by the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Land Force, Col Pg Zulkifli bin Pg Haji Ismail.
The second recipient was Mohd Syafiq Bin Abd Aziz, son to 8860 WO2 Abd Aziz Bin Haji Jafar. Mohd Syafiq has become immobile eversince experiencing a severe car accident. The Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force, Col (U) Ali bin Sabar handed over the wheelchair to Mohd Syafiq’s father on his behalf.
The final recipient was donated to 11457 Sld (R) Haji Sani bin Haji Mangshor by the Director of Force Capability Development, Lt Col (U) Haji Zainal Abidin bin Haji Yakub. Sld (R) Haji Sani was involved in a car accident causing him to have limited hand and leg movement.
All wheelchair donation events were conducted in conjunction with the RBAF Golden Jubilee anniversary.
ABDB Serahkan 3 Buah Kerusi Roda
LUMAPAS, Selasa 11 April 2011
– Sebanyak tiga buah kerusi roda telah didermakan oleh Angkatan
Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan Persatuan Bekas Perajurit kepada
tiga orang bekas anggota ABDB. Penyerahan kerusi roda tersebut telah
disampaikan secara berasingan dirumah para penerima kerusi roda.
Penerima pertama ialah 3299 Sjn (B) Haji Merussin Bin Ahmad.
Beliau mengidap penyakit ‘stroke’ dan menyebabkan anggota sebelah kiri
tidak berfungsi. Kerusi roda telah diserahkan oleh Timbalan Pemerintah
Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, Kol Pg Zulkifli bin Pg Haji Ismail.
Penerima kerusi kedua adalah Mohd Syafiq Bin Abd Aziz, anak
kepada 8860 WO2 Abd Aziz Bin Haji Jafar. Mohd Syafiq yang kini terlantar
sakit dirumah beliau akibat kemalangan jalan raya. Timbalan Pemerintah
Tentera Udara Diraja Brunei, Kol (U) Ali bin Sabar menyampaikan kerusi
roda tersebut kepada ayah Mohd Syafiq sebagai wakil.
Penerima terakhir kerusi roda ialah 11457 Sld (B) Hj Sani
bin Haji Mansor disampaikan oleh Pengarah Perkembangan Keupayaan
Tentera, Lt Kol (U) Haji Zainal Abidin bin Haji Yakub. Sld (B) Haji Sani
terlibat dalam kemalangan jalanraya yang menyebabkan kaki dan tangan
beliau tidak berfungsi.
Kesemua acara penyerahan kerusi roda telah dikendalikan sempena Sambutan Jubli Emas ABDB.
