DEFENCE ACADEMY RBAF, Tuesday 24 May 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from Rear Admiral Giam Hock Koon, Commandant SAFTI Military Institute (SAFTI MI), Singapore Armed Forces (SAF).
During the call, RBAF Commander welcomed Commandant SAFTI MI to the new Defence Academy RBAF campus and to Brunei Darussalam. Both sides conveyed their sincere appreciation for the close bilateral defence relationship between RBAF and SAF. RBAF Commander also thanked Commandant SAFTI MI for Singapore’s continuous support and level of participation in courses and trainings, which include the Scholars Development Program and Cadets Exchange Program.
RBAF Commander also expressed his satisfaction towards the successful conduct of the recent ASEAN Defence Ministers’ Meeting Plus Maritime Security and Counter-Terrorism Exercise, co-hosted by RBAF and SAF early this month. These types of cooperation signify the strong personal friendship and professional relationship between both armed forces and countries in general.
