BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 22 April 2016 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received a courtesy call from His Excellency Major General Peter Te Aroha Emile Kelly, Chief of Army, New Zealand Defence Force.
Also present during the call was Brigadier General Pg Dato Seri Pahlawan Aminan bin Pg Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Land Forces.
During the call, both sides focused on the warm bilateral defence relationship between Brunei Darussalam and New Zealand. Commander RBAF also expressed his gratitude for the close friendship and constant support given by the New Zealand Defence Force to the RBAF, especially for the upcoming ADMM-Plus Maritime Security and Counter Terrorism Field Exercise that is being co-hosted by Brunei Darussalam and the Republic of Singapore in May 2016, as well as the Eksesais Kepimpinan II between the Officer Cadet School New Zealand and Officer Cadet School RBAF in August 2016. Future initiatives to further strengthen the professional relationship between the two armed forces were also discussed.
