BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday, 2 June 2015 – Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received an introductory courtesy call from Commodore Sheikh Arif Mahmood, Defence Advisor of Bangladesh accredited to Brunei Darussalam.


Also present was First Admiral Dato Seri Pahlawan Abdul Aziz bin Haji Mohd Tamit, Deputy Commander RBAF.


During the call, the discussion focused on the professional defence relationship between the RBAF and the Bangladesh Armed Forces, as well as the close cordial ties between Brunei Darussalam and Bangladesh in general.


Both Armed Forces interact regularly in various regional and international platforms in the form of defence conferences, professional exchanges, goodwill visits and military courses and exercises. Future initiatives to further enhance the bilateral defence cooperation and mutual understanding between RBAF and the Bangladesh Armed Forces were also discussed.
