PATTAYA, THAILAND Thursday, 7 March 2019 – Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) attended the 16th ASEAN Chief of Defence Forces Meeting (ACDFM) at Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand from 6 to 8 March 2019.
During the meeting, the Commander of RBAF delivered a presentation on the topic “Assessing Sustainability & Way Forward” which tied together with the theme of the ACDFM this year, “Sustainable Security”. The meeting concluded with the signing of the Joint Statement by the ASEAN Chief of Defence Forces and an official farewell luncheon. The next ACDFM will be held in Vietnam in 2020.
The Commander of RBAF also held bilateral calls with his ASEAN counterparts to discuss on bilateral military cooperation between the RBAF and the respective armed forces.
PEMERINTAH ABDB HADIRI 16th ASEAN CHIEF OF DEFENCE FORCES MEETING
PATTAYA, THAILAND Khamis, 7 Mac 2019 – Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah menghadiri 16th ASEAN Chief of Defence Forces Meeting di Royal Cliff Hotels Group, Pattaya, Thailand pada 6 hingga 8 Mac 2019.
Semasa mesyuarat tersebut, Pemerintah ABDB telah memberikan taklimat bertajuk “Assessing Sustainability & Way Forward” dalam merangkumi tema ACDFM pada tahun ini iaitu “Sustainable Security”. Mesyuarat tersebut diakhiri dengan penandatanganan Joint Statement oleh Ketua-Ketua Turus Pertahanan ASEAN dan majlis makan malam rasmi. Mesyuarat ACDFM yang seterusnya akan diadakan di Vietnam pada tahun 2020.
Pemerintah ABDB telah mengadakan kunjungan-kunjungan muhibah bersama Ketua-ketua Turus Pertahanan ASEAN untuk membincangkan mengenai kerjasama ketenteraan dua hala dengan negara-negara berkenaan.
