MUARA, Tuesday 17 February 2013 – His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah ibni His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah, the Deputy Sultan and General of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah binti Pengiran Salleh Ab Rahaman attended a High-Tea reception this afternoon in accordance with His Royal Highness’ 41st Birthday hosted by Officers of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.
The ceremony took place at the Royal Brunei Navy Officers’ Mess in Muara.
Accompanying Their Royal Highnesses was His Royal Highness Prince ‘Abdul Malik.
The arrival of His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness at the Royal Brunei Navy Officers’ Mess was welcomed by the Commander of RBAF, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, which followed by a group photo session with Senior Officers of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
His Royal Highness and Her Royal Highness consented to watch a photo clip presentation and receive a photo book album entitled ‘Sejambak Ristaan VIII’ which featured a collection of photographs of His Royal Highness’ visits to the Ministry of Defence and RBAF as well as working military visits abroad.
His Royal Highness the Crown Prince was then ushered for the birthday cake-cutting event and consented to receive a pesambah from the RBAF Commander whom represented all of the RBAF officers featuring a leather bag entitled ‘A General’s Briefcase’, a novel titled ‘Sultan Muhammad Al-Fateh, Conquest of Constantinople’ and a special carved RBAF Leader Stick made from fine wood and iron available from KDB Pahlawan decommissioned in 1974.
To bless the ceremony, a Doa Kesyukuran was recited by the Assistant Head of RBAF Religious Department (JA’MAAT), Captain Ariffin bin Amit.
At the end of the ceremony, His Royal Highness Prince General Haji Al-Muhtadee Billah and Her Royal Highness Paduka Seri Pengiran Anak Isteri Pengiran Anak Sarah consented to receive Junjung Ziarah from the Senior Officers of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
Prior before leaving, His Royal Highness consented to sign the Royal Parchment.
