PENANJONG GARISSON, Monday, 8 April 2019 – The opening ceremony of the Land Force Skills At Arms Meet 2019 (LFSAAM) took place at the Binturan Shooting Range, Penanjong Garisson. The LFSAAM competition is scheduled to take place from 8 April until 16 April 2019 and hosted by Support Battalion, Royal Brunei Land Force (RBLF).
Present at the ceremony as the Guest of Honour was Colonel Haji Damit bin Haji Bakar, Deputy Commander of RBLF. Also present at the ceremony was the Chief of Staff RBLF, senior officers and special guests.
Deputy Commander of RBLF in his speech advised for the participants to gain benefits from their participation in the LFSAAM and view their participation as the preparations for the upcoming ASEAN Armies Rifles Meet (AARM) which will be hosted by Brunei Darussalam in 2020.
The ceremony commenced with the honorary salute led by Major Haji Nafisal @ Dedy bin Haji Salim as the Contingent Commander. The event was followed by an introductory meet with the Contingent Commander, a site visit to the Secretariat and Statistics Centre (STATS); and a Novelty Shoot. The ceremony concluded with a prize presentation for the winners of the Novelty Shoot.
A total of 159 personnel consisting of the First, Second and Third Battalions, Combat Service Support, Support Battalion and RBLF Headquarters are currently participating in the LFSAAM.
The objectives of the shooting competition are to enhance the weapon handling and shooting skills of the contingent and to further strengthen their collaborative teamwork as well as to encourage a healthy competition amongst them. The previous LFSAAM took place in 2010.

Land Force Skill At Arms Meet 2019 (LFSAAM) telah berlangsung di Padang Tembak Binturan, Penanjong Garison. Perlawanan LFSAAM telah dijadualkan berlangsung bermula 08 April sehingga 16 April 2019 dan dikendalikan oleh Batalion Bantu, Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB).
Hadir selaku Tetamu Kehormat pada majlis tesebut adalah Kolonel Haji Damit bin Haji Bakar, Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB. Turut hadir pada majlis tersebut ialah Ketua Staf TDDB, pegawai-pegawai kanan dan jemputan khas.
Timbalan Pemerintah TDDB dalam ucapan beliau menasihatkan supaya semua peserta dapat mengambil manfaat daripada penglibatan mereka dalam LFSAAM dan menjadikan penyertaan mereka ini sebagai persiapan dalam kejohanan
ASEAN Armies Rifles Meet (AARM) yang akan diungkayahkan di Negara Brunei Darussalam pada 2020.
Upacara bermula dengan tabik hormat yang diketuai oleh Mejar Haji Nafisal @ Dedy bin Haji Salim selaku Ketua Kontinjen. Upacara diteruskan dengan suai kenal dengan Ketua Kontinjen, diikuti dengan lawatan ke Urusetia dan Pusat Statistik (STATS); dan acara menembak
Novelty. Majlis diakhiri dengan penyampaian hadiah kepada pemenang acara
Novelty Shoot.
Seramai 159 penembak-penembak daripada Batalion Pertama, Kedua dan Ketiga, Khidmat Bantuan Kombat, Batalion Bantu dan Markas TDDB mengikuti LFSAAM.
Objektif perlawanan menembak ini adalah untuk meningkatkan kemahiran penembak-penembak dalam pengendalian senjata-senjata dan menembak dan untuk mengukuhkan lagi kerjasama sepasukan, mengenal dan menggalakan daya saing yang sihat dikalangan penembak-penembak. Sebelum iniLFSAAM dikendalikan pada tahun 2010.
