MUARA NAVAL BASE, Friday 6 March 2015 – The Royal Brunei Navy have appointed a New Deputy Commander. The handover ceremony took place this morning at Multipurpose Hall, Muara Naval Base.
At the handover ceremony, newly appointed Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy, Lieutenant Colonel (L) Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaily@Suhaili took over the position from Colonel (L) Pg Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad.
The ceremony began with the recitation of Surah Al-Fatihah followed by the signing of parchment between Lieutenant Colonel (L) Haji Othman bin Haji Suhaily@Suhaili and Colonel (L) Pg Norazmi bin Pg Haji Muhammad indicating the official handover of the Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy appointment.
Also present during the official handover ceremony were the senior officers, officers as well as men and women of the Royal Brunei Navy.
Colonel (L) Pg Norazmi assumed Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy on 30 November 2012 until the date of the handover ceremony is made.
While, Lieutenant Colonel (L) Hj Othman held appointment as Head of Naval Capability on 16 January 2015 before assumed as Deputy Commander of Royal Brunei Navy.
