BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 22 May 2015 – In conjunction with the Israk Mikraj celebration, the Ministry of Defence held a Kuliah Subuh or Dawn Lecture at the Ministry of Defence Surau in Bolkiah Garrison.
The ceremony began with the mass Subuh Prayer followed by the reading of holy verses of Al-Quran.
Present at the function was Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohammad Tawih bin Abdullah, Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
Also present were members of Defence Executive Committee, Directors, Senior officers and officers of Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The lecture was delivered by Ustaz Awang Amin bin Abdul Aziz, an invited speaker from the Policy Studies Institute of Universiti Brunei Darussalam. The lecture touched on the history of Prophet Muhammad S.A.W, in his struggle to uphold Islam. It also highlighted the incomparable greatness of Al-Quran and the specialty of Al-Quran verses that are closely related to human development.

Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Mejar Jeneral Dato Paduka Seri Mohd Tawih bin Abdullah, Pemerintah ABDB..

dimulakan dengan sembahyang fardhu Subuh berjemaah dan diikuti dengan
Ceramah Khas sempena mengambil tema hari Israk Mikraj peringkat negara
bertajuk “Sembahyang Penyelamat Kita’ oleh Penceramah Undangan dari
Institut Dasar Pengajian, Universiti Brunei Darussalam, Ustaz Amin bin
Abdul Aziz.
Lebih 200 orang hadir di majlis tersebut yang terdiri dari ahli-ahli Komiti Eksekutif Pertahanan, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
