BOLKIAH GARRISON, Wednesday, 19 August 2020 – Mass prayers to enliven the new Islamic Year 1442 Hijrah were held at mosques,
suraus and religious halls
across the nation this evening. The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held similar prayer ceremonies throughout RBAF garrisons, camps and bases to welcome 1 Muharram 1442 Hijrah.
Present at Surau Ad-Difa’ in Bokiah Garrison was Captain Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji, RBN, the Chief of Staff of the RBAF as well as senior officers, officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The ceremony began with the end of the year 1441 Hijrah Doa led by Imam Shuib bin Haji Abdullah, Imam of Surau Ad-Difa’. He then led the congregants through mass Maghrib prayer, recital for the New Year 1442 Hijrah Doa and Sunnat Hajat prayer.
The event was held according to the standard operating procedure (SOP) set by the by the Ministry of Health and the Ministry of Religious Affairs to curb the spread of Covid-19.
The theme for the New Islamic Year 1442 is “Generasi Berilmu, Beramal dan Berakhlak Memacu Pembangunan Umat”.
KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN DAN ABDB SAMBUT AWAL TAHUN BARU 1442 HIJRAH
BOLKIAH GARISON, Rabu, 19 Ogos 2020 – Acara solat berjemaah untuk
mengimarahkan sambutan Awal Tahun Baru 1442 Hijrah telah diadakan di masjid, surau dan balai-balai ibadat di seluruh negara pada petang ini.
Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) juga telah mengadakan acara sembahyang serupa di seluruh garison, perkhemahan dan pangkalan ABDB untuk menyambut 1 Muharram 1442 Hijrah.
Hadir di Surau Ad-Difa Bolkiah Garison ialah Kepten Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji, TLDB, Ketua Staf ABDB bersama pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan Doa Akhir Tahun 1441 Hijrah yang diketuai oleh Imam Shuib bin Haji Abdullah, Imam Surau Ad-Difa. Diikuti dengan menunaikan Sembahyang Fardhu Maghrib berjemaah, bacaan Doa Awal Tahun 1442 Hijrah dan seterusnya Sembahyang Sunat Hajat.
Majlis telah diadakan mengikut garispandu yang telah dikeluarkan oleh Kementerian Kesihatan dan Kementerian Hal Ehwal Ugama bagi mengawal penyebaran COVID-19.
Tema Sambutan Awal Tahun 1442 Hijrah ialah “Generasi Berilmu, Beramal dan Berakhlak Memacu Pembangunan Umat”.
