BOLKIAH GARRISON, Friday 15 June 2018 – Muslims throughout the country celebrating Hari Raya Aidil Fitri today came together to hold mass prayers at the mosques and suraus nationwide, including the personnel of Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF).
In a ceremony at the Surau Ad-Difa’, Ministry of Defence, the event began with the Hari Raya Takbir followed by the Aidil Fitri Prayers and sermon delivered by Imam Shuib bin Haji Abdullah, the Imam of Surau Ad-Difa’.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Captain Spry bin Haji Serudi, RBN, Chief of Staff of RBAF. Also present were senior officers, officers and personnel of the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The morning prayers was held to mark the month of Syawal – a festive occasion celebrated by Muslims with prayers, gatherings and feasts. It is also a time to seek forgiveness from families and friends.
SEMBAHYANG HARI RAYA AIDILFITRI KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN DAN ABDB
BOLKIAH GARISON, Jumaat, 15 Jun 2018 – Umat Islam di Negara Brunei Darussalam pada hari ini telah menyambut kedatangan Hari Raya Aidil Fitri dengan sembahyang sunat di kesemua masjid dan surau di seluruh negara termasuk warga Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB).
Dalam majlis yang diadakan di Surau Ad-Difa’, Kementerian Pertahanan, laungan Takbir Hari Raya kedengaran berkumandang diikuti dengan Sembahyang Sunat Aidil Fitri and khutbah yang disampaikan oleh Imam Shuib bin Haji Abdullah, Imam Surau Ad-Difa’.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis ialah Kepten Spry bin Haji Serudi, TLDB, Ketua Staf ABDB. Turut hadir ialah pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota di Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
