BOLKIAH GARRISON, Saturday, 31 August 2019 – The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held prayer ceremonies throughout the RBAF Garrisons and Camps to celebrate the end of the Islamic Year 1440 Hijrah and to usher in the new Islamic Year 1441 Hijrah late this afternoon.
In attendance at the event at Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garrison was Captain Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji, RBN, the Chief of Staff of the RBAF. Also in attendance were senior officers, officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The event began with recital of end of the year 1440 Hijrah prayer, a mass Maghrib prayer followed by the recital of the 1441 Hijrah prayer. The ceremony concluded with mass Isya’ prayer.
This event today is a lead-in to two other celebrations organised by the Ministry of Defence and RBAF to celebrate the new Islamic Year 1441 Hijrah that will be held on 3 September 2019 and 6 September 2019 respectively.
KEMENTERIAN PERTAHANAN DAN ABDB SAMBUT AWAL TAHUN BARU 1441 HIJRAH
BOLKIAH GARISON, Sabtu, 31 Ogos 2019 – Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah mengadakan Majlis Membaca Doa Akhir Tahun 1440 Hijrah dan Doa Awal Tahun 1441 Hijrah pada hari ini di semua garison dan perkhemahan ABDB.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat majlis di Surau Ad-Difa’, Bolkiah Garison adalah Kepten Spry bin Haji Serudi @ Seruji, TLDB, Ketua Staf ABDB. Turut hadir di majlis adalah pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan kakitangan Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan bacaan Doa Akhir Tahun 1440 Hijrah, solat fardhu Maghrib berjemaah dan seterusnya Doa Awal Tahun 1441 Hijrah. Majlis diakhiri dengan solat fardhu Isya’ berjemaah.
Majlis tersebut merupakan salah satu acara daripada tiga acara yang dianjurkan oleh Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB bagi menyambut Awal Tahun 1441 Hijrah, yang akan diadakan pada minggu berikutnya, iaitu 3 September 2019 dan 6 September 2019 masing-masing.
