PENANJONG GARRISON, Thursday 12 Dec 2013 – School of Military Trade, Training Institute Royal Brunei Armed Forces today marks the closing ceremony of the inaugural/auspicious course of the Logistics Officers Basic Course and the Finance Officers course.

Present as the guest of honour was Major General Dato Paduka Seri Haji Aminuddin Ihsan bin Pehin Orang Kaya Saiful Mulok Dato Seri Paduka Haji Abidin, the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces.

Also present was the Deputy Commander RBAF, Deputy Services Commander, Directors, Head of Inspectorate RBAF, senior officers and guest from the external agencies, representative from 1 RGR, Auditor General, TAbung Amanah Islam Brunei(TAIB) dan Darussalam Holdings.

The ceremony started with the recitation of Al fatihah and Surah Al Emran by Lieutenant Abdul Hafiz bin Abdul Razak, followed by speech from students representative of Finance officers course , 907 Captain Siti Nur Irmaya binti Yahya and from the Logistics Officers Basic Course, 767 Major Mohd Azhan bin Haji Ahmad. This was followed by the certificate presentations and speech.

In his speech, the RBAF Commander expressed his appreciation to the Training Institute RBAF for these inaugural courses. He believed that with these courses initiated, the officers will be able do their job effectively and efficiently. He believed that these young officers are the assets of the RBAF and are of high value. The course would enable them to be more professional and have a good thought process, not only for the routine jobs but also improving the process overall. He also said that, now, there is no reason for these officers not knowing their jobs, as these course should equipped them with the necessary knowledge and basic skills. These inaugural courses are only the beginnings, there would be more courses as such to develop RBAF officers to their highest standard.

He commented that this course would not be a success without the help of the external support to aid and enhance the learning process. The guest of honour expressed his gratitude to all the external agencies from Brunei Industrial Development Association (BINA), Auditor General, Insurance TAIB dan Darussalam Holdings and 1 RGR. The Commander RBAF commented that the 1RGR not only deliver lessons through their experience but also enhancing the military ties between both countries.

The ceremony also have certificate presentations for best students overall for each courses. The best student for Finance Officer was awarded to 776 Captain Haji Mohd Aisamuddin bin Haji Ali, from the Royal Brunei Land force HQ, and the best student for the Logistics Officers Basic Course goes to 767 Major Mohd Azhan bin Haji Ahmad, from the Dental Services, Directorate of Logistics, Ministry of Defence.

To bless the ceremony the recital of Doa was read by Captain Mohd Sofy bin Mohd Eusoff .

The ceremony was followed with the static display on boards to show case the lessons learned, activities and other events that happened during that course. A group photo session was conducted after the display and sign of parchments.
