BOLKIAH GARRISON, Tuesday, 30 May 2017 – The Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony today to mark the RBAF’s 56th anniversary.
The ceremony began with mass Zohor prayer followed by the Takhtim and Khatam prayer and Dikir Marhaban. The ceremony was held simultaneously at all surau in the RBAF camp, garrison and bases. The final event will be held at Ad Difa Surau at the Ministry Of Defence, Bolkiah Garrison on 8 June 2017.
The Khatam Al-Quran was held to enliven the RBAF anniversary and at the same time uphold one of the core values of RBAF, Taqwa or piety, to further enhance the RBAF personnel’s spirituality and motivate them to perform their duties with honesty and integrity.

MAJLIS KHATAM AL-QURAN SEMPENA SAMBUTAN HARI ULANG TAHUN ABDB KE-56
BOLKIAH GARISON, Selasa, 30 Mei 2017 – Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) hari ini mengadakan Majlis Khatam Al-Quran sempena Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB Ke-56.
Majlis tersebut dimulakan dengan sembahyang Fardhu Zohor berjemaah diikuti dengan bacaan Takhtim dan Doa Khatam serta laungan Dikir Marhaban. Majlis tersebut diadakan secara serentak di surau-surau Perkhemahan, garison dan Pangkalan ABDB. Acara kemuncak akan diadakan di Surau Ad Difa di Kementerian Pertahanan, Bolkiah Garison pada 8 Jun 2017.
Tujuan Acara Khatam Al-Quran diadakan ialah untuk memeriahkan lagi sambutan Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB dan pada masa yang sama untuk memenuhi salah satu nilai teras ABDB iaitu Taqwa, bagi meningkatkan kerohanian dan mendorong anggota-anggota untuk menjalankan tugas dengan penuh jujur dan integriti.
