BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 25 April 2019 – The Ministry of Defence and Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony at Surau Ad-Difa’ in Bolkiah Garrison today in conjunction with Brunei Darussalam’s 35th National Day.
Present as the guest of honour was the Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Defence, Brigadier General (Retired) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah.
Also in attendance were members of the Defence Executive Committee, senior officers, officers and personnel from the Ministry of Defence and RBAF.
The ceremony began with the recitation of surah Al-Fatihah, followed by Surah Ad-Dhuha until An-Naas and concluded with the mass Asar prayer.
MAJLIS KHATAM AL-QURAN SEMPENA SAMBUTAN ULANG TAHUN HARI KEBANGSAAN NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM YANG KE-35
BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis 25 April 2019 – Kementerian Pertahanan dan Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) mengadakan Majlis Khatam Al-Quran sempena Hari Kebangsaan Negara Brunei Darussalam yang ke-35 di Surau Ad-Difa’.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Setiausaha Tetap Kementerian Pertahanan, Brigedier Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Seri Pahlawan Shahril Anwar bin Haji Ma’awiah.
Turut hadir ialah ahli-ahli Jawatankuasa Eksekutif Pertahanan, pegawai-pegawai kanan, pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota tentera daripada Kementerian Pertahanan dan ABDB.
Majlis dimulakan dengan pembacaan surah Al-Fatihah, dikuti bacaan surah Ad-Dhuha sehingga surah An-Naas dan diakhiri dengan sembahyang Fardhu Asar berjemaah.
