BERAKAS GARRISON, Sunday 26 October 2014 – The Religious Section, Directorate of Admin and Manpower, Ministry of Defence, this morning held a Khatam Al-Quran ceremony for the students who are taking Al-Quran lessons at the Royal Brunei Armed Forces Surau.
 
The Khatam Al-Quran Ceremony took place at Berakas Garrison Surau.
 
Among the attendees were the Deputy Minister of Defence, Dato Paduka Awang Haji Mustappa bin Haji Sirat and the Commander of the Royal Brunei Armed Forces, Yang Dimuliakan Pehin Datu Pekerma Jaya Major General Dato Paduka Seri Mohammad Tawih Bin Abdullah.
 
A total of 40 students aged 10 years below, listed under the M-3 AQSA class, and completed the 30 chapters of the holy Quran. Among the objective of the ceremony was to instil interest as well as a feeling of love towards Al Quran and to assimilate its values into one’s lives.
