TUTONG, Monday 5 June 2017 – Three local fishermen who were drifting at sea after their boat had engine failure were rescued by KDB AFIAT, two nautical miles from Tutong shore early this morning.
The Royal Brunei Navy ship was on patrol when it received the report of the stranded fishermen at 0225.
KDB AFIAT activated a Search and Rescue mission and successfully located the three locals at 0500. All three were in good health when rescued. Their boat was towed back to Muara with cooperation from the Marine Police.
KDB AFIAT MENYELAMATKAN TIGA NELAYAN TEMPATAN
TUTONG, Isnin 5 Jun 2017 – Tiga nelayan tempatan yang terdampar di laut setelah perahu mereka mengalami kerosakan enjin telah diselamatkan oleh KDB AFIAT, dua batu nautika dari daerah Tutong pada awal pagi tadi.
Kapal Tentera Laut Diraja Brunei pada masa itu sedang membuat rondaan maritim apabila menerima laporan mengenai nelayan-nelayan terdampar itu pada 0225.
KDB AFIAT seterusnya membuat misi Mencari dan Menyelamat dan berjaya menemui nelayan-nelayan tersebut pada 0500. Ketiga-tiganya berada dalam keadaan sihat ketika ditemui dan kapal mereka turut ditarik ke Muara dengan kerjasama daripada Polis Marin.
