BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Thursday, 30 May 2019 – Twenty-two retired personnel who previously served in the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) received donations from a charity drive collection called Kamathali Habbah Project. This project is part of the community service activities organised in conjunction with the Royal Brunei Armed Forces’ (RBAF) 58th Anniversary.
The charity drive was held from 13 May 2019 until 3 June 2019, coordinated by the mosques within camps as well as the garrisons. At the end of the collection period, Support Batallion, Royal Brunei Land Force, as this year’s coordinator of the project, consolidated the donations and contributions. The presentation of the donations was conducted in three districts concurrently.
For recipients in the Brunei-Muara District, the donations were presented by Colonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Commandant of Defence Academy RBAF, while for Kuala Belait and Tutong District, the donations were presented by Lieutenant Colonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Commander Operations Group of RBAirF as the representative for the Chairman of Royal Brunei Armed Force’s 58th Anniversary.
In this holy month of Ramadhan, this project encourages the act of giving to help those in need and less fortunate. As in the previous year, this project continued to garner overwhelming support from the RBAF personnel.
PROJEK KAMATHALI HABBAHSEMPENA HARI ULANG TAHUN ABDB KE-58 TAHUN
BANDAR SERI BEGAWAN, Khamis, 30 Mei 2019 – Seramai 22 orang pesara tentera yang pernah berkhidmat bersama Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) telah menerima sumbangan daripada hasil projek amal yang dinamakan Projek Kamathali Habbah. Projek ini adalah merupakan sebuah kempen menderma sambil beramal bagi program kemasyarakatan sempena Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB ke-58 tahun.
Proses mengumpulkan sumbangan tersebut telah diadakan mulai dari 13 Mei 2019 hingga 3 Jun 2019, diselaraskan melalui surau-surau yang ada di setiap perkhemahan dan garison. Semua sumbangan seterusnya diserahkan ke pusat pengumpulan iaitu di Batalion Bantu Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei, selaku pengendali projek ini. Pada tahun ini, acara penyampaian sumbangan telah dilaksanakan di tiga daerah.
Bagi mewakili Pengerusi sempena Hari Ulang Tahun ABDB ke-58 Tahun, sumbangan telah disampaikan oleh Kolonel Haji Muhammad Haszaimi bin Bol Hassan, Komandan Akademi Pertahanan, ABDB bagi Daerah Brunei dan Muara. Manakala, bagi Daerah Kuala Belait dan Tutong pula, sumbangan telahpun disampaikan oleh Leftenan Kolonel (U) Haji Haszahaidi bin Haji Ahmad Daud, Pemerintah Kumpulan Gerakan TUDB.
Dalam bulan Ramadhan yang penuh berkah ini, projek ini telah mendorong anggota-anggota ABDB untuk beramal jariah bagi membantu meringankan beban penerima-penerima derma yang memerlukan bantuan dan kurang bernasib baik.
