BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 26 September 2019 – His Majesty Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan and Yang Di-Pertuan of Negara Brunei Darussalam made a working visit to the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) at Bolkiah and Berakas Garrison today.
Upon arriving at Bolkiah Garrison, His Majesty was greeted by Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Major General (Retired) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Second Minister of Defence and Major General Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Commander of the RBAF, and followed with the inspection of Guard of Honour led by Major Haji Hazimin bin Haji Abdullah.
His Majesty then consented to deliver Titah at Bolkiah Garrison’s Gymnasium which was attended by the officers and personnel of the RBAF. In the Titah, His Majesty raised a number of concerns pertaining to personnel strength and discipline as well as on the sufficient logistic supply and reviewed the state of RBAF’s capability assets. His Majesty further emphasised the need for the RBAF to embark upon more welfare projects.
The work visit continued with the arrival of His Majesty at Bolkiah Garrison Medical Complex. The medical and health services for military personnel have been in operation since 16 September 2019, while the Family Clinic service starts operational today.
His Majesty then proceeded to visit the Berakas Garrison. The visit began at Pantai Berakas Primary School where His Majesty was greeted by the school principal, Dayang Sharinah binti Haji Shahbudin. The school was attended by a total of 225 students, and has 34 teachers and 11 staffs.
His Majesty then went to visit the military accommodations at Berakas Garrison - the married quarters of the RBAF senior and junior ranks. The married quarter of the RBAF senior rank that was visited is occupied by Warrant Officer 2 Sopian bin Haji Abdul Hamid and family, and the married quarter of the RBAF junior rank is occupied by Lance Corporal Mohd. Adi Yusran bin Mohammad and family. His Majesty also visited one of RBAF officers’ bungalow that is occupied by Major Bohare bin Mansor.
His Majesty made a stopover at B Company, First Battalion of the Royal Brunei Land Forces (RBLF) where His Majesty was greeted by Lieutenant Colonel Mohd Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Commanding Officer of First Battalion of the RBLF and Major Awang Abdul Aziz bin Razali, Officer Commanding of B Company, First Battalion of the RBLF.
The visit continued at the Cookhouse of the First Battalion of the RBLF.
His Majesty ended his visit attending a luncheon at the Officers’ Mess, Berakas Garrison with the officers and personnel of the RBAF.
KEBAWAH DULI YANG MAHA MULIA PADUKA SERI BAGINDA SULTAN DAN YANG DI-PERTUAN NEGARA BRUNEI DARUSSALAM BERKENAN BERANGKAT MENGADAKAN LAWATAN KERJA KE ABDB
BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis, 26 September 2019 – Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia Paduka Seri Baginda Sultan Haji Hassanal Bolkiah Mu’izzaddin Waddaulah ibni Al-Marhum Sultan Haji Omar ‘Ali Saifuddien Sa’adul Khairi Waddien, Sultan dan Yang Di-Pertuan Negara Brunei Darussalam berkenan berangkat mengadakan lawatan kerja ke Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) di Bolkiah dan Berakas Garison pada hari ini.
Keberangkatan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia dijunjung oleh Yang Berhormat Pehin Datu Lailaraja Mejar Jeneral (Bersara) Dato Paduka Seri Haji Awang Halbi bin Haji Mohd. Yussof, Menteri Pertahanan Kedua dan Mejar Jeneral Pengiran Dato Paduka Seri Aminan bin Pengiran Haji Mahmud, Pemerintah ABDB. Sejurus keberangkatan, Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia memeriksa Kawalan Kehormatan yang diketuai oleh Mejar Haji Hazimin bin Haji Abdullah.
Baginda kemudian dijunjung berangkat ke Dewan Gerak Badan, Bolkiah Garison dan berkenan mengurniakan Titah. Dalam Titah baginda membangkitkan beberapa isu seperti angka kekuatan dan disiplin anggota ABDB, penyediaan logistik berserta keupayaan asset. Baginda juga menyentuh tentang keperluan ABDB untuk meningkatkan lagi projek-projek berkebajikan.
Lawatan kerja dilanjutkan dengan keberangkatan Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia ke Kompleks Perubatan Bolkiah Garison. Perkhidmatan Perubatan dan Kesihatan bagi warga tentera di kompleks baru ini telah mula beroperasi pada 16 September 2019. Sementara perkhidmatan Klinik Keluarga Tentera dimulakan pada hari ini.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia seterusnya berangkat meneruskan lawatan ke Berakas Garison. Lawatan dimulakan di Sekolah Rendah Pantai Berakas, yang mana Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia dijunjung oleh Pengetua Sekolah, Dayang Sharinah binti Haji Shahbudin. Sekolah berkenaan dihadiri oleh 225 pelajar, dan mempunyai 34 guru dan 11 kakitangan.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia berkenan pula melawat ke rumah kelamin PTB Kanan dan Rendah, yang masing-masing didiami oleh Pegawai Waran 2 Sopian bin Haji Abdul Hamid dan keluarga, dan Lans Kopral Mohd Adi Yusran bin Mohammad dan keluarga. Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia juga meneruskan lawatan ke salah satu banglo pegawai yang didiami oleh Mejar Bohare bin Mansor.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia seterusnya berangkat meneruskan lawatan ke Kompeni B, Batalion Pertama Tentera Darat Diraja Brunei (TDDB) dijunjung oleh Leftenan Kolonel Mohd Roasri Erwan bin Haji Tasrif, Pegawai Pemerintah Batalion Pertama TDDB dan Mejar Awang Abdul Aziz bin Razali, Pegawai Memerintah Kompeni B, Batalion Pertama TDDB.

Batalion Pertama TDDB.
Kebawah Duli Yang Maha Mulia mengakhiri lawatan dengan Majlis Santap di Mes Pegawai Berakas Garison yang dihadiri oleh pegawai-pegawai dan anggota-anggota ABDB.
