RIMBA, Friday 30 August 2013 – The Royal Brunei Air force celebrated 12 newly graduated technicians of Airframe & Engine Intake 28 and Avionic Intake 15 from the 65th Squadron, Training Wing Royal Brunei Air Force.


Upon his arrival, the Guest of Honour Brigadier General (U) Haji Wardi bin Haji Abd Latip, Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force received a General Salute from the graduation parade led by 19172 Sld (U) Ahmad Muzakkir bin Ahmad Suhaimi.

In his speech, the Commander of Royal Brunei Air Force highlighted the importance of technicians in upholding their professional responsibility, especially in ensuring the aircraft operational readiness as well as maintaining flight safety standard; ultimately, in achieving the RBAF mission. He also highlighted that the Royal Brunei Air Force is currently undergoing expansion in its force capabilities with the arrival of the first batch of S-70i Blackhawk helicopters by the end of this year. As such technicians will play a pivotal role in realising this expansion. The Guest of Honour reminded that the graduation day is just the beginning of a challenging career.



In the world of aviation and technology exploitation, all the knowledge learnt from the technical school must be put into practice, improved and updated from time to time.

Brigadier General (U) Haji Wardi gave special thanks to all the parents and families who play a great role in supporting the graduated technicians in achieving success as well as to the staff and instructors of 65th Sqn and MTSSR Aircraft Department.

The Best Overall Student Awards goes to 19180 Sld (U) Mohd Hamdan bin Hj Untong in the field of Airframe and Engine and 19174 Sld (U) Md Azeem Shah bin Md Sahri in the field of Avionic respectively. The event ended with a thanksgiving prayer and a photo session with the Guest of Honour.

Also present at the ceremony were Commanding Officer of Training Wing, Commanding Officer of Logistic Wing, SO1 Maintenance – Directorate of Logistic, Officers, parents, family members and relatives of the newly graduated technicians. The graduation parade was held at 65th Squadron, Brunei International Airport.

BDTVEC National Diploma in Aircraft Engineering is a collaboration between Royal Brunei Air Force and MTSSR and has provided Royal Brunei Air Force with aircraft technicians since 1984.
