BOLKIAH GARRISON, Thursday, 17 March 2022 – A flag handover ceremony for personnel that will be deployed to the 18th International Monitoring Team Mindanao Negara Brunei Darussalam (IMT-M NBD) and the 4th Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring, and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines was held in Bolkiah Garrison this morning.
Present as the Guest of Honour was Brigadier General Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Acting Commander of the RBAF. Also present were Sulaiman bin Alidin, Deputy Commissioner of Royal Brunei Police Force (RBPF), Deputy Service Commanders, Directors and Commandants, Defence Attaché of the Republic of the Philippines and Malaysia as well as representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The Brunei Darussalam flag was handed over by the Guest of Honour to Commander Md Zouhdy bin Haji Abd Razak, RBN as the head of delegation of 18th IMT-M NBD and to Lieutenant Colonel Hairin bin Japar as the head of delegation of the 4th IDB VMAT.
Brunei Darussalam will deploy five officers from the Royal Brunei Armed Forces (RBAF) and one officer from the RBPF to the 18th IMT-M NBD, along with four RBAF officers to the 4th IDB VMAT in Mindanao, Republic of the Philippines.
As part of regional cooperation, Brunei Darussalam will continue to provide assistance in ensuring the neighbouring state’s peace and stability by participating in these missions to oversee the ceasefire agreement between the Philippines government and the Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF), as well as the process of decommissioning the MILF’s forces and weapons.

BOLKIAH GARISON, Khamis, 17 Mac 2022 – Majlis Penyerahan Bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam kepada anggota-anggota yang akan menyertai misi Pasukan Pemantau Antarabangsa Mindanao Negara Brunei Darussalam (PPA-M NBD) ke-18 dan ahli Independent Decommissioning Body Verification, Monitoring and Assistance Team (IDB VMAT) ke-4 di Mindanao, Republik Filipina telah berlangsung pagi tadi di Bolkiah Garison.
Hadir selaku tetamu kehormat ialah Brigedier Jeneral Dato Seri Pahlawan Haji Abdul Razak bin Haji Abd. Kadir, Pemangku Pemerintah ABDB. Turut hadir ialah Yang Mulia Sulaiman bin Alidin, Timbalan Pesuruhjaya Pasukan Polis Diraja Brunei (PPDB), Timbalan-timbalan Pemerintah Angkatan Tentera, Pengarah-pengarah dan Komandan-komandan Tentera, Atase Pertahanan Republik Filipina dan Malaysia serta wakil Kementerian Hal Ehwal Luar Negeri.
Penyerahan bendera Negara Brunei Darussalam telah disempurnakan oleh tetamu kehormat kepada Komander Md Zouhdy bin Haji Abd Razak, TLDB selaku ketua delegasi PPA-M NBD ke-18 dan kepada Leftenan Kolonel Hairin bin Japar selaku ketua delegasi IDB VMAT ke-4/2022.
Negara Brunei Darussalam akan menghantar lima orang pegawai dari Angkatan Bersenjata Diraja Brunei (ABDB) dan seorang pegawai PPDB bagi misi PPA-M NBD ke-18 dan empat orang pegawai ABDB sebagai ahli IDB VMAT ke-4 di Mindanao, Republik Filipina.
Bagi mendukung kerjasama serantau, Negara Brunei Darussalam akan terus memberikan sokongan dalam memastikan keamanan dan kestabilan negara jiran dengan memantau perjanjian genjatan senjata antara Kerajaan Filipina dan
Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF)
serta mengawasi proses penamatan kuasa dan senjata MILF.
